How to make moving icons for dumbies (like me)

ugh...I'm a total newbie here......hiii....umm...I need help to make one of those moving icons/link buttons thingys? How do you make them move like that? I would appriciate it very much if someone could teach me. Thank you!

Err, do you mean marquees?

If so, here's a tutorial.
