before i start....here's a link to my xanga. what you see on that page is what i've accomplished thus far. i have about an intermediate knowledge of code, but i'm just stuck on a few points....
My Questions: how do i move my modules to the left in their own boxes? Minimalist Example ~I want my modules seperate from my enteries. i think they look tacky...I've tried the code in the "scripts" section. I have trouble with the custom module part.~ will i have to resize my blog box after i take out the modules? ~just fmi~ how do i get a background pic in all of my custom modules? ~I already have a pic uploaded on photobucket. i just need some clean code that i can use with custom modules to do this.~ how do i get rid of my far right scrollbar? ~I am just annoyed by it. I'd rather only have one scrollbar.~ how do i add an intro page (a page that opens before my actual xanga and contains a link to my xanga?) ~I would like to have a page that warns people of the content of my page before they enter so that i don't get rude comments...that's been happening lately that's all of my questions for now. i have looked around on this site and on netsirk for information. point me in the right direction, please....

^ answer to your last question. um. is that it? It's an image though. you can post a message on the image ;o Beacuse I dont think there is such thing as an intro page containing WORDS. And, you only have one scrollbar for me. |

First question about the "separate" modules: Go to the look and feel page and scroll down to the left modules section. Change the border to a different color..
Second: I think so.. if you remove the modules, your blogs will either go in the middle or stay on your right the same size. Third: Uhh.. Fourth: You don't have a far right scrollbar. It's unscrollable. What do you is customize the scrollbar color for the DIV and change the body scrollbar color to black, so you can't see it. Fifth: You can use a intro splash page script in our Xanga Scripts section. http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=23 It's just an image appearing before your page.. What you can do is create an image with a warning on it, save it, upload, and replace the url. The image with the warning will be the intro page. |

i want my modules to be entirely seperate from my blogarea...not just a border but a totally seperate part. i can't find any examples, i hope someone understands what i'm getting at....basically, i would like eash of my modules to be sepreate from one another and also not part of my blog body. i would like to put pics in the backgrounds of module areas.

I don't think you can move the modules without deleting the Xanga ones and making your own. I asked about it twice on here and nobody seemed to be able to help me. The only recommendation I got was to make my own modules. The code for that can be found in the scripts section. If there IS a way to seperate them from the blog, I want to know too!
