What happens when you go back to a restore point?
Is EVERYTHING on the computer back to how it was? Or just the files in C:\Windows or something picky like that?

it restores your computer back to the time when you last created a restore point. for example, lets say i created a restore point on march 1, 2004. its january 2, 2005 and i screwed up my comp. so i would use the system restore to restore my computer back to march 1, 2004. windows automaticly makes restore points by default.

Grr, I can't go back past the New Year, and now I need to.
>_> I hope Windoze didn't delete the previous system restores since 2004 was over
I know I always get a system restore with Spybot.. hmm.
Might have unchecked that little box in the Control Panel > System > System Restore box

windows recovery doesn't remove crap on computers. it go backs and restore/recover the things from the date you want it to go to.

spybot is not system restores... spybot only remove spyware and adware for you. it won't restore your computer. _smile.gif
