Shoes Options

If your shoes get ripped, torned, or old --- do you throw them away and buy a new one? or do you still keep them and wear it?

Even though my shoes are old, I still keep them and wear them until I see holes in these shoes I'm wearing. My friend, Serena --- if her shoes get old even though she bought it 2 months ago. She buys a new one and throws her shoes away. So do you throw them away or keep them and wear it still?

id keep them till a time it calls for me to wear shoes on a farm/marsh/snow/crap ...then i wear my old shoes

depends on the condition. my etnies are getting pretty worn out. but on the side of that i still have my brand new chucks. but i still need skate shoes to skate.

anyway, bk to the topic. if it isnt so old n my sis likes it.. then she uses it. for me? yeah.. i just go out and buy new ones. what happens to my old pair? it goes into the storage. (secret: i bet we have like at least 3000 pairs of shoes in there now.) my mom once bought 7 pairs on ONE shopping trip.

Well, my Pumas got a tad peeled back on the top, and it's just a little discoloured at the top from the times I wear jeans, but yah, I still threw them out and bought a new pair. I can't stand dirty shoes.

Unless they're my black Chuck Taylors. In which case it doesn't matter. =)

I have never worn a pair of shoes until the get holes in them. I wear them, get tired of them, buy new ones, and donate the old ones to charity

I keep them until a year later when they're all small.
And then throw them away.

If my shoes have a rip in them, i get new shoes, but i dont throw the old ones away.

I usually repair them, and i will wear them every once and a while.

Right now, i have like..eight pairs of sneakers, and i usually wear the same ones, but if the other ones look better with the outfit, ill wear those.

i keep old shoes that i don't wear in my basement just in case i might need to wear them sometime and i do get new ones when my shoes get old.

I keep wearing them until my dad buys me new ones. He just got me new shoes last week actually. The bottom of my old shoes were torn up. I had them for 2 years or so.

If i have new pairs and something happens to em i have my stash of old pairs that i could still wear, like in 6th grade my shoes went ka-put and i had to wear the ones from 4th grade and they miraculously fit!

I usually don't let my shoes get too torn up, or torn up at all really, so I keep them even though I buy a new pair

I still keep them in case if I need them as back-ups.
Like if I go camping, I don't want to get my Converse all dirty and muddy and crap, so I just use some of my old shoes.
Same with if I have to walk home in the rain, or something.
I wouldn't just throw them away.

My old shoes either end up somewhere in storage or get sent to the relatives in the Philippines [and they're in decent shape].

I keep my old shoes until they fall apart or those a bunch of holes on them. When they start to get a little worn out, I'll go and buy a new pair of shoes so that I can just immediately start wearing those once my old shoes die out. I have my Etnies [Practically New], random boots but I love them [2 or 3 years old], my hot topic boots [1 or 2 years old], Phat Farms [1 or 2 years old], vans [2 or 3 years old], brown boots from Hechts [About 6 or so months old]. So most of my shoes are at least a year old.

I keep my old shoes and use them as shoes for sports like soccer and when I go mountain biking.
After that, they may see the trash or my memorabilia chest.

I don't throw them away when they get old .. but I stop wearing them. I dunno, can't stand dirty dirty shoes :p They just stay in the shoe rack in the garage.

I usually just buy new shoes and leave my shoes in the basement or something..and I'll wear the old ones if I'm going like hiking or something and I don't want to get my new shoes dirty.
