I'll have to say Pat Tillman's death was the most tradgic of 2004 cry.gif we know we'll never forget him..former football player who fought in iraq to sacrifice..he was a true hero. Who do you think had the most tradgic death of 2004?

we have to talk about death...?

All death is tragic, we shouldn't quantify the measure of a person's death...

But the 100,000+ deaths in SE Asia is surely a tragedy...

Humm....There is not one death that is more or less tragic than any other death in the world.

Death itsself is a very tragic thing so I do not think there was a specific death in the world that happened in 2004 that was most tragic

Um, can I ask you something?

What makes one person's death more tragic than another?

I mean, if me and Britney Spears died, would her death be more tragic cuz she's the more famous one?

Eff that. _dry.gif

what makes that guys death any more tragic than anyone elses? ive never even heard of that guy. being a football player does not equal glorification. lots of peoples lives are wasted in war. he knew he was getting into when he joined the army, so really his death is less tragic than other some other peoples (well, not that death isnt still tragic)

I agree with roxanne.. You cant say a death is more tragic than another just because more people care. All deaths are tragic, theres no meter for it.

I think what he meant to say is not tragic, but... heartwrenching perhaps?
And I agree with mostly everyone else. All death is tragic and heartwrenching but I'd have to say that the SE Asia disaster pretty much tops it. Sure, the troops dying in Iraq deserve a mention, but its war out there and people die in wars. A natural disaster is uncalled for and unexpected. So my heart goes out to them and all those affected by it. flowers.gif mellow.gif

everyone mourns the tsunami deaths.
but as i said before, since we cannot control nature, why don't we focus on deaths that we can prevent.. deaths due to starvation, child labor, insufficient health care, etc.

that's what makes it more tragic, that it couldn't be controlled.

No one's death is more tragic than another. Death is tragic and someone who is a football player who went to war and died doesn't make his death more tragic than someone who died in a tsunami or earthquake.
