whoa..it definitely depends..personally i very much dislike school lunches, which is why i always go off campus..they do sell stuff like subway at school, but still, i don't like them personally.

In my opinion, I like school food. I get it free. I would definitely rather eat subway, or pizza from dominos or papajohns. But It would be expensive and waste of money, if i bought it everyday. I would be broke and not be able to buy other stuff that I want.

I can survive on school lunch. - they aren't globs of mud. nor terrible.

Although I hate - taco snack! *throws up* motzorella breadsticks... yum... double cheeseburger... yum... sub-sandwhich yum... Although If its gross i have 5 packs of ketchup in my backpack.

I get a big tortilla with chicken, rice, cheese and sour cream in it everyday (they call it a borrito and you can choose whatever you want to be put in it...) I cost me $3.50 everyday but it's the only thing edible except on Wednesday when they do Chicken Fried Steak, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy... and even that is $2.20... Most people get the popcorn chicken or chicken tenders but i don't think it's very good and they fries they give with it are NASTY.

My school has been steadily jacking up prices so I dislike that. But the overall quality is ok. I eat school lunches everyday, and have since 2nd Grade. It depends on what you're getting. Some of the soups are ok, the the burgers are sometimes a bit dry, chicken patties are meh. Pizza is good when you can get a big slice that isn't 1/2 crust, pasta is good when they have big plates. It's always nice when you can get a tray, they keep running out for some reason. Drinks are overpriced but you can get them in combos. The Frys are ok, the deli sandwiches are fine, salad is rather blah. Bagles are ok then they have a lot of other stuff like snack foods and what not. But they recently changed the meat and it looks like mud, you know like taco meat and stuff. Yea, I stopped getting tacos and nachos when they have them.

I think schools should start serving healthier foods. our school, for a usual menu, has hamburgers, pizza, corndogs, taquitos, and some kind of spaghetti/pasta. thats a lot of what is causing obesity. well at lest helping peolpe become obese. the healtiest food I think our school serves us is a small salad with ranch, or apples.

I like my school lunch. The lunch ladies are working really hard to provide proper nutrition for us, and people just bitch about it.

I love school lunches but it depends on the type of school lunches you get served vs the ones I get served as someone else had said. The school lunches at my school are about 1.40 and is a full meal with fruit, drink, dinner roll, everything. It's cheap because I don't have a lot of money to spend and it's good. Too many people bash on school lunches when they themselves have never had one so how should they know? People at my school are like that at least.

I've lived on both sides of the tracks and experienced the best and the worst of school lunches. And to be quite hoenst with you, the best school lunch I've ever had was the .85 cent lunch from my elementary school in Wilmington, Delaware where we had grilled cheese (with gov't cheese, of course) and food that actually filled us up. I lived in the suburbs of Tampa Bay and San Antonio and, lemme tell ya, the lunches; suck.

it depends on the school. I LOVE the lunch food at my school. everyday we can get fries (which taste and smell like mcdonald's...especially when you're in the hallway), icecream, like 5 vending machines, churros (long, cinnamon type dessert), make your own sub, salads...yeah a lot. all of our food is more on the junky side haha.

ITS AWFUL. the board of ed. they jsut send the frozen stuff over to school, and they just add water and bake. uggh.
once we were having shells and ground beef. i was waiting for a plate of that. when right in front of me they get a picther of tap water and pour it and start stiring it.
no wonder why it was mushy and watery.

but now they serve onion rings, thats all i have for lunch now..

They serve us all different kinds of food. We have different stations...a sandwich station where you can get a sub or a wrap, a soup station, salad station, pizza station, meal of the day, calzones, snacks, all kinds of things...and yet...

It does depend on the school itself, but my school's lunch isn't all that great. The food at the stand is pretty good, though, but it's not exactly a meal. They just sell snacks there, like nachos, fruit, cookies, ice cream, pizza... yeah. Not very healthy.

The normal school lunch is, well, school lunch. XD I can't really explain it. It's greasy and stuff. However, they do sell salads, but every salad has ham on it, and I can't eat ham. One time I bought it (I hadn't noticed the ham) and so I sat there for fifteen minutes trying to pick it off.
