alright my mom hasnt met my boyfriend yet, but she keeps telling me she doesnt want me dating anybody. well i asked him if he'd meet her & he said he would. but when i told my mom this, all she said was that i was never gonna see him again. now, everytime i go out she needs to know whos gonna be there so shes sure im not going anywhere with him. i cant go anywhere alone with him
 what should i do?

i know how that feels.. it sucks like crazy, i know! well you could try talking to your mom about it. how old are you and your boyfriend anyways? maybe she just doesnt think you're mature enough and stuff and really, you could just try to talk to her and make a compromise. no matter what tho, dont say "but my friends all have boyfriends and they get to see their boyfriends!!" or throw a tantrum. hope everything goes alright

parents..., too over protective these days, but yeah, your mom probably has a reason too do what she's doing. don't know. maybe something has happened to her in the past that makes her think that the old days are still the same. vise versa.
tell your mom how you feel about what shes doing to you and how its affecting you. in turns, she might rethink her desicions and so forth |

Oh my...The same thing happened to me. My first boyfriend and I started dating when I was 15. My parents didnt like it at all because he was 17. However I went behind there backs and dated him anyways and we were happily together for 5years and engaged. Then he became an a-hole and well thats another story.
So Like other people have mentions try to covince your parents that you are mature enough to have this relationship |

well i think you should try to talk about it with your mom again and tell her how you feel about it and how her decision is hurting you. then maybe she will lighten up and she will want to meet him and then she will like him and be more comfortable with letting you two go out alone.
