less then a day to christmas eve (my family opens presents on christmas eve) and i'm totally not festive at all. it doesn't even feel like december. i made gingerbread cookies and make paper snowflakes for my tree, but it feels like any other day. it doesn't feel the same way it did last year. i hate it ;/
anyone feel the same?

its 4:10am on christmas eve here in japan. and i dnt feel festive at all either. theres no christmas spirit here. no christmas lights... we dnt evn hav a tree haha. how sad _dry.gif

im like that every year. its a natural thing for me. i never liked christmas since..i was a teenager? lol yeah at like 11 i didnt care about christmas. i dont even get presents at all not even from my family or close friend and i dont care.

man....i used to feel like that all the time. since after my parents split...the holidays just aint the same....but the last 2 years have gotten alot better. and now with my job....it starts feeling like christmas right after thankgsgiving!

i get spirited sometimes.. but not really for most of the time, i don't even care about all the occasions, it just seem like an ordinary day to me.

Hmm yeah I know what you mean but I've still got the "Christmas spirit" I guess.. I'm excited. On the day that we were decorating the Christmas tree, my whole family was crying because of someone who passed away... We were still going to get the tree done no matter what.. But it was hard.. I couldn't stop crying.. It was so depressing.. I hope Christmas is as good as it was last year. It's ma favorite time of year.. cry.gif

I usually am festive around my friends and family, but not like psycho festive like some people I know. But this year when we went on our horse carriage ride I didnt want to go and it was really boring this year. So I kinda feel the same but on Xmas eve and day Im all like jolly hyper...Im half and half this year.

yes i feel the same way...

cause i have celebrated christmas so many times... it doesnt feel like im having a christmas eve. so yeah nowadays i dont care if christmas is near. like yesterday, my friend was shouting "yes!! it's christmas!!" and im just "oh hum... is it really december? doesnt feel like it" lol... but yeah heh

Its kinda sad but I am not in the christmas spirit either. I think its because for some silly reason I keep getting older happy.gif !! I am also extremely poor. Owning a house is rough on your money situation!

ive been feeling the exact same way!

I think its because this year, i know everything that im getting for christmas...since i practically ordered it on the computer with my parents. plus-- this year all i asked for was shoes and clothes...no toys...so it kinda ruins the whole spirit for me. lastly, the weather here [new jersey] has been insanely warm. yesterday it was lyk 57 degrees out, and raining. usually we have a white christmas, around 15 degrees or something...but not this year.

hopfully it will change today and tomorrow, since im going to my grandmas happy.gif

it really doesn't feel like Christmas..i don't kno why..its just not the way it used to be.

maybe its too..Commercialized..and political.

i'm not as excited as i used to be other years back, but i guess i'm still happy for the vacation off from school and my b-day last week and getting presents

though i do agree with this:

Yea I think people are losing the "Christmas Spirit". Every year there is less and less houses with christmas lights up. Now, I rarely see any christmas lights at all.
