Ok. So. Did you ever like someone so much, but when you tell them, they say that they only want to be friends or something along those lines? But then, when you think about it, you don't want to be their friend?
 weird that's how i feel now.

yeeeeeeeeeeah my last crush was the same way. We knew each other since junior high...he's a senior in high school and I'm a junior now.
I told him a couple weeks ago about how I felt. Later on he told me that he just wanted to be friends...but that maybe during college it'd be okay. But he never brought it up again. Of course I still felt that I wanted to be with him but. I'm over it now. Just be their friend. If, and when, the time comes...you'll be with them...if not, keep in mind that you'll find someone better

Yes. My first real crush. I was all lovey-dovey and she was all >=[. Didn't even do it nicely. "pshh..no way! you like me?" "yeah..i do.. heh.." "whatever" *heart shatters* Not a nice experience for a 4th grader.

yeah. i tottaly know how that is. i liked this girl for pretty much so long now. and finally had courage to ask her and talk to her ya know. then i heard from her friend that she only wanted to be friends. she didnt want to tell me upfront but w/e ya know. hey friends are better than nothing. and friendships only get better. and who knows. whatever happens after that friendship line is fair game. =)

Reminds me of how I used to respond to little third graders when they told me something like that when I was in fourth grade....ouch.  Ne ways, yeah, been there done that. I remember I told a guy that I liked him (in a letter) lol back in 7th grade.. and you know what? he did just wnat to be friends with me. I'm sorta glad I didn't ever date him because no offense, but he wasn't worth it. He wasn't the type of guy I thought he was, and I'm glad I never ever dated him. And yea in the end, we were friends then he started talking smack and yea.. I realized.. good thing I never dated him..
I conclude that things happen for a reason.. that the although rejection might hurt (the whole "let's just be friends" ordeal), maybe it means that that guy/girl wasn't right for you, probably not worth your time of ever consider dating. And often, the "just want to be friends" phrase is another way of saying "Yea, I don't like you. I don't want to date you because I don't like you. But I don't want you to hate me, so I'll tell you that I just want you to be my friend because that's all we'll ever be." |
