maybe im just dumb to find this out so late but did you guys know poppyseed muffins have drugs contained in them? im sure its not an illegal kind but its one of those drugs where you get high if you try it a lot. my friend told me this.

idk if they really do have drugs in them or if u can get high off them but i do no that they do show up on drug tests as some type of drug so ya

well, doesn't poppy seed have some opium in it? not a lot, but if you eat enough, you can fail a drug test, i think.

Opium is made from poppy seeds so if you take a drug test you'll test positive for opium. But poppy seeds themselves aren't drugs.

Opiates are made from the poppy seed, this includes Opium and Heroin and some other things. However theres a purification process i believe that requires massive amounts of poppy seeds. So you realy can't get high off eating poppy seed muffins. There was a myth, it was also on Seinfeld, that you can fail a drug test if you ate poppy seed muffins the day of, but that was disproven.

this was said, poppies are a flower that the drug called opium is harvested from. opium is a smokeable form of heroin. you cannot get 'high' but the drug may show up in a drug test and a suffient amount of heroin. its happened to me with a bagel, dont get caught!
