ok im totally terrified right now...

Does anyone know what is gonna happen to my computer?!?

I dont want it to restart!!!!!!!! (and WEIRD thing is its not restarting...i probably have to press cancel for that to happen) but...ok you're most likely wondering why i got that message?

well i downloaded this supposed to be Adobe Premiere Pro crack from Limewire (dont ask) and i scanned it (no viruses), unzipped it then pressed on the little install icon and afterwards that message came up!!

does anyone know what it means or whats gonna happen once i restart my computer? i know that it was a very dumb thing to do as to open that file but it had no viruses!!!

*sigh* please help someone -_-

I could be a program that changed your registration codes for Windows, its an old form of hack that most anti-viruses dont pick up. Or it could be nothing but a harmless bug in the install code. I guess you can try backing some files up if you want, but if it reset your windows codes it wont matter.

ooh! so you're saying that it only could have altered some of the registration codes? and nothing else like some essential internal windows files? (either from the main BIOS or whatever and all that confusing stuff) *relieved sigh* i hope you're right because i really dont want to loose anything or else my @ss is fried pinch.gif

//EDIT do you think trying system restore will help? this really could be nothing dangerous but who knows and it would really make me feel better ^^

plus when i do go to system restore, there is one for today at 5:56 which says that i installed Win32? wtf is that?? i never installed that lol do you think that that was the crack or whatever?

Hmm thats strange? What version of Windows are you running because WIN32 is an API for running 32-bit Windows applications on windows 95, 98 and NT if memory serves me right. I dont believe its on the newer versions. That might be the reason it asked you to restart because the file didnt match the curent OS. If thats what happened then on restart it should weed out that file and you shouldnt lose anything? Of course I could be wrong _dry.gif

Edit: Ehh system restore may not be your best best unless you have backed it up recently, if it hasnt been backed up for a while then you cant really roll back to anything. If problems continue I guess you best bet would be to run the recovery disks if you have them. Ofcourse this is just worst case scenario, this could just be nothing but a harmless bug or file on the system.

2nd Edit lol: Nevermind it seems all the versions are built on NT technology so all OS's have win32, I have it on my hard drive too. Im assuming your internet works since youre posting? So you can always do some research on the error before proceeding to do anything.

well, it seems that you were installing something and maybe it wasn't compatible with your computer. but i don't think anything serious will happen.
