Okay, I have pale skin with pink undertones and my hair color is blonde, not BLEACH blonde, but a dark medium blonde. Now, I've always been afraid to go like, mocha colored, or cherry cola colored or anything like that because I was always afraid it would look HORRIBLE on pale skin and make me look really bad.

2 questions:
*Do you think girls with pale skin look good in brown hair? Do you think it would be better to go with a medium brown like mocha colored, or cherry cola colored? Or can you suggest one you think looks good

or

*Should I just dye it Carmel colored? When I asked the girl at the salon about the color a few months ago she said it would look good on me...but hmmm...

thanks a bunch!

caramel seems like a good color, especially if your pale. having a cherry color could bring out some pinkness in your face, which may or may not be a good thing. good luck with your hair color choices. happy.gif

its probably a better idea though u get advice on your hair color from someone who works at a salon and has alot of experience with hair coloring.

I probably should. LoL...but ya know, I figured some opinions could be nice. I know people who have fairly light skin and look good in brown, but I guess you never look good to yourself when you try something that drastic sometimes.

carmel is gorgeous..lol and I'm even nervous to do THAT!

keep in mind that all this is my personal opinions... your style could be the polar opposite of mine.

how dark you go depends on how light you are... if you're super pale, i wouldn't go much darker than a med-dark blonde... but then again, it also depends on your style. some people like to look paler (i.e. "goths") and others don't... like me lol. whatever you do, stay away from brassy colors... go for the ashes ( ones with a blue or violet tint/base) because in my experiences, brassy colors don't make anyone look good... and if you're debating between a couple colors, go with the darker, because if it ends up too dark, it will most likely fade some in a week or so (making it a little lighter) and if it's still too dark, you can always get subtle highlights to lighten it up a bit more.

...and I just thought, if your dye job sucks, you can just dye it something else right over it. I think. My sister had to dye her hair brown before dying it some other color...

im dark haired ( expresso ) and pale, and people say it works for me.. but im taking it that your naturally blonde ( darkerish blonde ) so i would stick to a lightish brown and i really think the red idea is not so good, since your skin has pink undertones you might not like the red in your hair, keep it simple with a nice caramel to almond brown. eye color makes a difference as well... it makes for good emlimination of hair colors that dont work well with your color eyes ( or that look unatural )

Well...the pink isn't noticeable..lol, but like that's the undertone I have, it's hard to explain. My eyes are hazel, but change with whatever I'm wearing, usually to a sublte green. I didn't know a brown with a little red can bring it out mellow.gif

caramel then most def.. looks good with hazel and green, if you end up getting sick of caramel after a few months then you may want to try a LITTLE bit of a redder shade, red and greenish eyes is cool

Well, I think that since you have pale skin, you should go with caramel or mocha =)

Not really sure. I'm asian with dark hair and pale skin...but that probably doesn't really help.

One of my friends has black hair and pale skin and she looks very pretty. I know pale skinned people with every hair color imaginable. I guess it just depends on you...

that's true...I guess it depends on what you're used to. After I dyed my hair a LIGHTER blonde, like, way lighter than it was I *hated* it and everyone *loved* it, I guess people who aren't you are more open to change than you are. My grandma had read brown hair, almost black, and she was gorgeous.
