different entries day Options

I see people have different format for their entries and stuff.. i was wondering if there's a code to do that... like not only change the date format, you can add little image beside or something like that... oh, here's and example Example see how the entries date was done??

What do you mean? Like the date in the background? That not a picture..It is a color that is filter. Here try it.
