I can't seem to get the stuff on my skin to go where I want it to go. I'm using Dreamweaver mx and I still don't know why my layers won't move where I want them to go. Chatango mini to the left. Darkplayer bottom left. I can't get them to move into the right spot. They'll move a little bit and then no more, no matter what I change the margins to. Also, my blog (body) section won't stay as wide as I want it. I wanted it to be just wide enough to fit the thought bubble thing in the top left and not have a horizontal scrollbar. well... it just won't go and I've gotten really frustrated with it. I need some help. I'll post the picture and the code now.
CODE <div id="Layer1" style="position:absolute; left:523px; top:202px; width:133px; height:43px; z-index:1"> <form name="subscriptions"> <select name="menu2" onChange="location=document.subscriptions.menu2.options[document.subscriptions.menu2.selectedIndex].value;" value="GO"> <option value="#">My Homies</option> <option value="#">---------------------</option> <option value="http://www.xanga.com/chilli1661">chilli1661</option> <option value="http://www.xanga.com/dreamdrea06">dreamdrea06</option> <option value="http://www.xanga.com/simplybecausex3">simplybecausex3</option> <option value="http://www.xanga.com/sugashep">sugashep </option> <option value="http://www.xanga.com/wastedyouth2488">wastedyouth2488</option> <option value="http://www.xanga.com/xmeaningful_kissesx">xMeaningful_Kissesx</option> </select> </form> </div> <img src="http://img79.exs.cx/img79/7898/r6dmeskin.jpg" width="720" height="648"> <div style=" margin-top: -550px; margin-left: -400px; width: 400px; OVERFLOW: auto; height:300px; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent""> <!-- begin code provided by createblog.com --> <style type="text/css"> .#rblEprops{display:none;} #pnlEnabled table, #htmleditor, #lblTimeZone, #pnlEprops, #rblEprops /* width of the comment page */ {width:300px;} .leftmoduletitlebar, .leftmoduleborder, .leftmoduleinterior, table.left, table.left TH, table.left TD, table.navigation, table.footer {display: none;} </style> <!-- end code provided by createblog.com --> <!-- begin code provided by createblog.com --> <style type="text/css"> body { background-color: #000000; scrollbar-arrow-color: blue; scrollbar-track-color: black; scrollbar-shadow-color: darkblue; scrollbar-face-color: white; scrollbar-highlight-color: turqoise; scrollbar-darkshadow-color: blue; scrollbar-3dlight-color: lightblue; } .left, .blogbody, table.footer, .standard, .leftmodulefontcolor, td, p { /* edits main text */ font:bold #px FONT; line-height:12px; color: blue; letter-spacing:1px; text-align:justify;} .caption, .blogheader { width: 300px; padding: 3px; font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 16pt; text-align: center; color: blue; background-color: transparent; text-transform: lowercaps; margin-top: 10px; } table.footer TD { /* this makes the footer at the bottom centered */ text-align: center;} a:link, .footernav.link, a.footernav:link, a.footernav:active { color: blue; text-decoration: none;} a:visited, a.footernav:visited, { /* edits the links that the user has visited */ color: blue; text-decoration: none;} a:hover { /* edits when user mouseovers the links */ color: #1bffff; cursor: CURSOR WHEN MOUSE HOVERS OVER LINK; text-decoration: none;} table.blogbody { /* this edits the other the place where the blog is */ border: 1px solid #1bffff; color: red; background-color: transparent; width:0px;} table.search TD, table.announcements TH { border: #px solid #FFFFFF; } table.navigation, table.main, table.footer { /* the width of your blog with modules */ width: 10px; } hr { /* horizontal divider */ border: 1px solid #1bffff; } </style>

oooo you use draemweaver? oh yes.... i use fireworks MX. this is great.
anyway, if you are worried about everything moving, things do that. another note, try using a simple notepad because dreamweaver is a bit complicated. |

I was using Div layers and I understand what's happening in Dreamweaver. When I use the preview in browser (a Dreamweaver Function) It looks exactly how I want it to.....but for some lame reason it doesn't work in the look and feel on my xanga. Wtf? Somebody try messing with the code or something please.
