I like conscious artists who put out real content in their music, like their struggles and triumphs, shit that real people can relate to, shit that touches your soul. thats not true. take an artist like lloyd banks. before he was commercial he was dope on the mixtapes and everything. then he dropped his solo album and it was wack. like jayz he "dumbed down his lyrics to double his dollars".... before he was commercial he was just tryna keep his name out there and show everybody he got talent. now he has beats by brand name producers and famous guest appreances. his lyrics are simple and his punchlines are soft. anyways, i dont want to argue or deabte over this cause the point of the thread is to promote undergrounda artists.

and you play mainstream songs at clubs because of the beats... you dont hear kids saying "yeah" lyrics instead you hear them saying the "yeah" beat... same with other songs like in da club or whatever. give credit to the producers not the artists.

i dont care ifs its underground or not just as long as it good. the facts stand. like 90 percent of todays popular rap music are garbage. its a sad day when artists like nelly, chingy, juvenile, etc populate the top of the charts. there are some good artists like kanye west, nas, jayz, etc. but the majority are horrible. if the underground artists become well known then i will have no problem turning on the radio and listening to them.
