pink hair Options

okay my friend has in this pink semipermanent hairdye in that lasts 6-8 weeks. she's had it in for about 4 weeks and she decided she wants it back to normal. So we were going to just dye over the pink but i'm guessing that the pink will show through at least a little if we don't bleach it, but she doesn't wanna bleach it because that like totally f's up your hair. so my question is, does anyone know anything good that can get out the semipermanent hair dye. i mean it's pretty faded, but like the pink is probably going to last for like another month if she keeps with her same routine.

i have never dyed my hair... i couldn't tell you. But i would think that if she dyed it a dark color, it would be ok. don't take my word for it though.

She needs to wash it alot. That's slightly bad for hair as well, but better then bleach. She needs to be careful tho, becuase i used semi-permanent once and it stayed for a couple of months. Maybe she should try and find a shampoo made for taking out dye? I'd ask a hair dresser about that one though...

yeah i'd say wash it...wait at least a couple weeks....then of course....it depends what color ur dying it over on whether or not the pink will show through

wash it alot, and if shes dying it a dark color then you should be alright but dying your hair alot messes it up

well ive never semi permanently dyed my hair,but i did do it permanantly, and i didnt like the color. so i dyed over the blonde i put in my hair, with my natural color, dark brown. if she dyes her hair back to her natural color,the pink will most likely show thru, b/c you can still sorta see some blonde in my hair, and i dyed mine a dark color. what i would do is just tell her to leave it in until its gone,unless you want to do what the people up there said, and have her wash her hair 1234567543314141421521521 times lol. o yea-if she dyes her hair, make sure she uses a good conditioner, b/c dying your hair can make it really dry.

when i dyed my hair with semi permanent my flat iron made it really really faded.

shampoo! i died my hair with a color before that lasted thorugh 28 shampoos! that helps fade it. make her wash her hair like twice a day =] i odnt think dieing permanently over it is such a good idea though...you might need to wiat....unless you dye over it with another semi permantent product back to the origional color. stay away from bleach =X

wash it out if it's semi permanent! wash it a loooot .. it'll get out eventually

if you dye it a dark color, then it'll be fine. if not, you better wait till it washes out before you do anything to it.

i myself coloured my hair pink...well pink streaks but then i died over it with a dark brown almost black colour and it only started to show a little bit when my roots grew out...but it will blend in...

if of course she is going to go blonde or light brown then she should just wait it out

my friend had like light brownish/dark blondish hair and she got some blonde highlights but then she didnt liek them nemore so she just went and bought hair dye that was the same color as her hair but it bleached the strands that were highlighted so she still has highlights except now theyre like white so be careful.

Well I dyed 2 streaks of Red, and I'd just let it grow out, unless she has long hair. Meh *shrugs* I don't really know. Sorry If I was not much help o_o

i have had pink hair. i got sick of it too. i used a stripping color kit, and it turned it orange and blonde. so i tried dying it dark brown and the orange and what was left of the pink showed through. so i ended up spending $100 on getting it perfessionally coloring. it sucked..but it was better then like 5 diff colors in my hair.
