A couple of days ago, I posted a blend in the Pictures section. It really wasn't what I liked, so I decided to blend two of those pics again. I ended up with something I liked tremendously, and made into a layout. <333

Actually, that's what I thought at first. But then I tried it and it was all yucky looking. =(

the picture is cool, i like how the subject is in black &white and the clothes are in color. i think it would look better if you faded the sides of the picture too instead of just the top and bottom.

That is absolutely beautiful. Wonderful blending. Great control of color and composition. But, I think that maybe a border down the sides (not at the top and bottom) and extending down along the blog body would be nice. Other than that, spectacular job.

I'm going to try that today. I was thinking about a border too, but I'm not a great coder (see first post) and I don't want to deal with perfect alignment. I can cheat a little with a black bg =) hehe. But I'll try it anyways, thanks for the feedback! What kind of border would you suggest? I'm a bit stuck.

Ah, yes, that looks great. happy.gif I was thinking a light gray color for it, but the hot pink looks really nice.

Maybe that border is a bit thick, though.

don't worry about the alignment sweets. =) if it looks right to you, that's all that matters.

That didn't really make sense...the part about the "but the border and be wiser so the blog will too"...I suspect you meant "wider", but meh. I thought about a background, but it would just overpower the main image.

i'd use a light pink for the blogheaders, bold font, links etc... makes for more contrast.. the red (which may be dark pink but this comp makes everything look darker) makes it too intense.

edit://

also if you contain the entire thing (image and div and all) in another div, it should make the alignment stay in place.
