I don't especially like either, but in times of war like this I think Bush will be better. Think about it, if Kerry was elected the terrorists would think, "Oh good. This is the perfect moment for another attack!" We need a strong aggressive president, though Kerry may be better for the economy, if I had to choose between poverty and death.......

I'd pick poverty.

of course not... bush is a scary man. he even made the death penalty a legal rule...o_____o;;;; he thinks he's all important but really he only pretends to be like he's all that and that's he's king ruler of the world. but really he's an idiot. the only i didnt like about kerry is that he was allowing gay marriages and that's the only thing i didnt like. if he didnt talk about "gay marriages" i would've been satisfied to vote him

Here is the reason why Bush won, as discussed and debated over at our AP US his class... once again... haha

TO sum it short. The people of the United States wanted a man who is firm in their beliefs, well respected, feared among terrorist, and conservative.

Terrorist fear President Bush far more than they fear Kerry. Kerry has always condemned the actions that President Bush has offered. Yet, he never reveals a downright straight laid out plan to fix the problem. He is attacking the problem, He has not shown a plan to fix the problem. Kerry throughout his campaign has changed belief to satisfy the people. He is not firm on what he believes. People have questioned, What does he believe in?

As for Faith, the older generation, our parents; have become appalled at the faithless based population our generation for the most part presents. That sense of "family" (yes a general term). What do I mean? Bush presents an image of a family based nation rather than an individualistic family. The older generation also appeals towards a faith based president especially in times of hardships, when faith presents comfort.

THats all I will say for now. What I have said are very generalizing remarks to why people may have chosen Bush. It is very short and undetailed on a topic which requires further evaluation.

But keeping to the original question, there is always room for improvement. Bush is now further experienced in running the nation. What we need is a President firm in policies currently. Terrorism and economy are a big issue right now. President Bush appears to be the right choice for the time we are facing. Presidents tend to exert more power and reforms on a second term compared to the first. Bush may well improve the United States, the People just have to trust that the executive branch will do just that.

I voted maybe. I honestly like him better than Kerry. But who knows what'll happen.

You just contradicted yourself right there. You said you didnt want to argue, but you flat out called people who voted for him stupid. Now i personally think a person who calls another person stupid just for the fact that they voted for someone else is an ignorent retard.

Do you see my point? I'm sure you wouldnt like it if i called you an ignorent retard just because i dont like Bush, and you voted for Kerry. It works both ways hun. And besides, people have different reasons for voting for someone, so consider that as well before you blatantly call someone dumb.

Our country is totally screwed. We're so split that no matter who wins, half the country will dislike the president. I think far too many people base their opinions on word of mouth or other people's opinions. You may not even know the truth. So, before you go saying how "dumb" and "bad" one of the canidates is, go research the facts and find out for yourself. You may be suprised who you really support.

We're soo split? Look at electoral votes and popular votes my friend. Compared to other elections of the past President Bush has won significantly. believe it or not 52% to 48% is big. In the past third party candidates would recieve more votes so the margin of victory would be lower. President Bush is one of the few candidates in modern american history to have such a sweeping win.

The country does not dislike the president. 52% of the country likes the president. This is why the electoral college is soo wonderful. Because lets say three strong candidates are winning but electoral candidate will give the illusion that the winning candidate has won significantly even though he may won have gotten popular vote of 34% when the other candidates were 33% and 33%

Actually those who did vote for him are not clueless or dumb as those who did not vote at all. Those who voted for Kerry without actually research or finding out what each candidate truly stood for are idiots, same for those who voted for bush without fully knowing what each president stood for. Those who voted for third party candidates who had zero chance of winning are idiots. I especially think those who hate our president based on Media alone and without further research and analyzations of the decisions the president made in the first term are idiots.

But, worst president to what point? As a president facing a major war we have had minimal deaths compared to other major wars. There are more deaths in vietnam per battle than there are in Iraq in tottal. As for economy wise, our depression is nothing to what America has seen in the past. Media has basically balloooned everything out of its true proportions.

Study american history, our country has been in worse times.

Kerry and Bush have pros and cons. Bush is defininetly ruinin Cali, with his so called way of not giving money to schools with kids who have a hard time learning. I've learned a month ago that hes not gonna give money to the schools with kids that have a hard time learning cuz he assumes "4get it, they aint gonna learn, why should we give em' the money? thats gonna b a waste." He assumes that; psh, i cant believe him.
