it's really wierd. when i sit down like two legs in front of you. my theighs are like fat & wide. it's wierd. i'm not fat. i'm not that skinny. how do i tone it or lose some weight?

hmm lets see...running can really tone ur legs..but a specific workout for ur thighs would be...

u know that workout thingy where u sit and ur legs are spread apart and its between ur legs and u try to squeeze it shut? maybe mock the movements to that

or drop down and getcho eagle on girl

Everyone's thighs does that! I stopped looking at mine for a while because of it.

I guess you could start to run on the tredmill or for track.

yeah that happens to me too. bleh, running is supposed to help tone your thighs, but it still looks like that.

aww im the same way! wacko.gif hate mine _unsure.gif ! try running alot just in place or doing squats with ur legst spread about shoulder with. do to 2 sets of 40, 2 times a day or do more if you can!

running always makes your legs slim down .. but sometimes if you naturally have thick thighs it'll still seem that way .. but there's nothing wrong with being thick ;D ..

Go sprinting.

One way to make your thighs look less... bulky is by crossing your legs everytime you sit down. Works for me.

god i run lyk every day. and in PE i get lyk the best times on the mile run too. but mai legs still seem akward to meeh when i sit down. huh.gif sad.gif perhaps i should stretch more _unsure.gif

Ah, what a great topic! lol well my legs look like that when i sit, i hate it! So I am into a lot of activities where we run and it really does help! but i hate it cuz i got that muscle in my leg. not alot but i jus think it looks weird....But ya try running around a track or getting into athletics would help too!

You guys are too insecure. Everyone's thighs do that due to the pressure on the legs against the chair. You shouldnt be ashamed of it.

running, water polo. actually, none of it really helps make thighs thinner. it just turns whatever fat into muscle. generally, the shape remains the same.
gr. i hate my thighs. but w/e, just don't sweat it.

im soo skinny, but i have saddle bags. NO ONE believes me. they say "ur so skinny, ur anorexic! you HAVE no thighs!"...which makes me mad beauce i eat more than they are they family combined...but thats aside from the point. i havent a clue how...sorry. join a sport?

What hixfive said, they're called wall sits. You put your back against the wall and act like you're sitting on a chair with only your back as support against the wall with your legs shoulder width apart in front of you. You should try that and pace yourself. Your thighs will begin to burn so try doing it for 30 seconds then add more time. It really works it out but also creates soreness the next day. We do it in soccer all the time. It really helps build/tone muscle.

Another exercise you could try are lunges. You put one leg up in front of you and the other is nearly touching the floor. Then you get up and do the same with your other leg leading. I don't really know how to explain it. You're basically doing a stationary lunge. You keep doing this moving forward and alternating legs with a pause standing up in between switches of the leading leg. This is also a good exercise to tone thigh and butt muscles.

I'm a soccer player and I have pretty toned thighs and even they expand when I sit down. Don't sweat it. Just try those exercises and I warn you that you will feel some soreness, but more so with the lunges in the buttocks area, but beauty can be painful!

happens to me..but my friend..who is quite thing..i noticed it doesnt happen to her..or maybe its jus b/c shes really thin...her thighs spread out look like half of mines..and im considered skinny..

Unless your Kate Moss thin, your upper legs will do that. It's really nothing to be ashamed of. I'm sure you look fine.

PS - It kind of makes me sad that people can be so insecure about things like this. I really want to blame American pop culture. There are some countries out there that actually have an overall mentality that 'meat' on your bones is a *good* thing. ::sighs::

I shrinked mine by doing wall squats, where you put your back against the wall and bend your legs at a 90 degree angle, and hold it for a while, try like 30 seconds at first and build it up.

Excersize at least 20min a day.
And when your done, have one cup of White Cranberry juice from Ocean Spray.

Eat an apple for a snack, and a nice hearty steak for dinner.

Oh yeah, for breakfast, eat a granola bar, cheerios, yogurt, and drink some more of that delicious White Cranberry Juice :)
