i used to have that problem. you should reduce the amount of space used in the scratch disk. you can do that by going to the preferences

ehhh.. your photoshop aint starting..? Strange..

Go delete some of your brushes that might be a good idea.. I have ALOT OF brushes on my Photoshop.. but it goes on slowly.. than it starts.. just delete some of your brushes..

Or.. i was thinking..

Put your brushes in a different folder like name it "Brushs for PS"... and drag the brushes in ur new brushes file.. that file would be a brush file.. where all your brushes are.. if you want to use a brush.. put the brush into your brushes file for ps and u can use them.. i dont know if u get me.. but yeah.. thats the idea for me if my ps started not to work cuz of the brushes.. =]

I have to log into a differnt account [admin] on my computer to use it because it doesnt have brushes on it.......

gotta love the search button...

Start -->> Search -->> all files & folders -->> type Photoshop 7 --->> click the Photoshop 7 Folder -->> Presets --->> Brushes..

thats where all ur brushes are.. i use the search because i cant go to the C:// my bro friend blocked it for some reason.. wel.. thats how i get to my brushes, patterns, etc.
