Just get your hair straightened at your hairstylist or do it yourself.

And please don't double post.

it's funny how those with straight hair want wavy or voluptuous hair and those with the curly, wavy, volumizing hair want STRAIGHT hair. nobody is ever happy with what they have!! haha..but anyway, try a flat iron or a hair straightner if ya don't wanna go to the hair stylist..

Well..

You could get a perm. But that costs a lot and lasts up to 6 months.

Get a straightening iron.

I'm sure if you would just look in the topics, you'd se 47549957373 topics on hair straithening.

Well. I'm Asian and I have straight hair. *reads over post again* Oh. You mean frizzies. I have tons of frizzies. I use a straightening iron!

If you're talking about super straight, stick straight...well get a perm. That's the only way you're gonna get super straight hair, because an iron only removes major kinks and frizzies.

And people, ENOUGH OF THESE STUPID STRAIGHT HAIR TOPICS. I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE CURLY HAIR, SO STOP COMPLAINING. Go and search for them. Don't waste a whole thread!

well my hair is spiral curly and to straighten it...

i towel dry it as best as i can when i get out of the shower..
blow dry it while semi-straightening it
then use a flat iron to smooth and straighten it out more

it works for me..although i am totally frying my hair..but heyy..i hear no complaints haha

yeah my hair is wavy and sometimes i want to try different things with my hair. straightening iron.. i'd rather not use it. honestly, if u keep using it too often, its going to damage ur hair even more. why not just get some of those frizz control conditioners? lol

honestly, i don't think straightening is fun anymore. i got my hair rebonded last january and now, i think it's dull and boring coz it's too common.

i like being different. lolz. *weirdo*

anyway, for you, i think you should use straightening iron. don't get a perm coz someday, you'll be bored with it. promise!!

I have a con air straightener and it works better than one i paid 100 bucks for. ermm.gif But i guess it depends on your hair type. I suggest getting your hair relaxed, at the salon. Don't get a store bought relaxer because it messes up your hair really bad.

I'm Asian but my hair is puffy and can get wavy at times. I tried the straightening iron too but it doesn't stay long.

I bought this detangling/defrizz product and it helped keep my hair straight. You have to apply it after you take a shower but make sure your hair is damp. Then you blow dry your hair. After that I put gel in my hair. My hair remains straight for the rest of the day

i think that ultra straight hair has no body or volume. its just flat and thin....

my hair is straight naturally, but not ultra straight where it doesn't bounce or anything. i blow dry my hair straight every other night and use garnier frutis shampoo/conditioner. it smells so good!

id also try using biolage shampoo/conditioner. u can buy it at a salon and that makes ur hair very smooth and soft.

-hope that helps! laugh.gif

yeah i got magic straight (perm, whatever) and it worked really well.
but then i got sick of it really easily, because it thinned out my hair a lot and i like volume in my hair. so whatever.
but if you're looking to go straight for 3-6 months, i recommened it.

or

buy a hair straightner. a $30 HOT TOOL gold plate is good. trust me. buy it at some hair salon.

im asain n i have straight hair but what you should do it blow dry your hair upside down. that makes it puff out at first, but then comb it out... alot.

also use ALOT of hair spray...

hair straighteners sometimes like, burn your hair or make it frizzy cuz it was too hot... once i tried used i conair straightener n it pulled alot of my hair out... painful and unattractive...

You could use a straightener but those can damage your hair. Maybe you could try those straightening products. Never really tried them because mines naturally straight but some of my friends use it and works for them.

if you would like to do your hair straight sometimes.. enough times, than its worth it to buy a straigtening iron.. Don't bother with the crappy ones.. I've had many.. if you want really straight hair, stay away from silver plate straigteners.. gold plated aren't amazing, but the best are deffinietly ceramic hair straighteners.. they tend to be more expensive, but do a hell of a job! Also, if you have curly hair, when you get out of the shower, quickly towel dry your hair, but don't rub it too much, the towel will leave your hair messier, and more prone to frizzies.. buy a straigntening balm (walmart.. shoppers) and rub it throughout your hair when it's wet. brush it out.. and either blowdry, or dry naturally.. then flat iron it out baby!

Well my hair is naturally straight but it turns kinda curvy for a few days after I tie it into ponytail... so I think that leaving your hair down as much as possible helps.

I'm Asian, but i have really thick hair. And my hair is wavy.
But i can get it straight after using this one condition or just being in the sun. Ya, weird.
I tried the straightening iron, but i dont like those they damaged my hair with spit ends. bleh. And the hair dries up.
This one teacher at my school started straightening her hair when she was little. Its dried and its looks nasty when she doesnt straighten it.

well i'd perfer you use a straightener. most of you are like, "ok we know it straightens, but my hair doesn't cooperate with that!" Try it First! If that doesn't work try chemical straightening, available at most hair salons. If it's not available at yours, ask your stylist where you could find such services. Look around the internet and search it online.
Then, if that still doesn't work then i'd perfer the chemical straightening. It's not always $300, it depends on the hair's well volume. It depends on how curly it is, and how tough / how much magic straight they'd have to use. It's a really hard chemical that's brought from Japan/Korea, so even if you have just a tiny bit of ferocious hair, still expect high prices. I suggest blowdrying your hair after you shower though, even if it gets puffy. The next day just straighten it and it should be good. Also, when your in the shower, to get extra shiny hair, conditioner your hair once, rinse it out, then condition it again. 2 times should be the maximum times you conditioner your hair in that one shower, though.
Hope That Helps!
XOXO

Morrocan Oil.
I think I spelled that wrong.
but it's very expensive, like $40.
Oh well, it makes hair really straight and shiny after flat ironing it!

I am Asian and I have more than pin straight hair. But I also help out my friends with their hair.

You have too cute of a face for that style. Not that the style isn't attractive, I just think it isn't you. That KiraPika example would possibly look good on you though.

I agree since her hair is so short and so is the girl [in the yellow is almost the same length].

That is not always true. There are Asians with thick hair, curly, wavy and not to mention extremely straight hair. It all depends on your parents. You inherit the hair that they have.

1. I suggest that she get a straightener check out the prices on the Internet [sometimes they are cheaper than the places where you live].

2. I may not suggest a relaxer. It has side effects to it.

seriously we needed a topic about this?
Go get it chemically straightened (japanese hair straighter) or just go over more than once with a hair straightener or use john frieda's hair straightener serum.

I wouldn't blow dry it. It would give it volume....but not help with straightening.

I would get a ceramic flat iron (straightener), a great brand would be Chi.
So you don't damage your hair, use V05 Extreme Reworkable Molding Putty and V05 Extreme Heat Defense Spray (its like- $3.oo at WalMart >.<) http://www.vo5.com/products/

If the flat iron cannont be used on wet hair, let your hair air dry. Then Put in the putty.....then spray your hair with the Defense sray. Then its simple-- straighten your hair with the flat iron.

after that- use your choice in hairspray.
Tada! Straight "asian" hair!! :D

Chi straighteners can be very expensive sometimes.
Check out this site for some other great ones:: http://www.folica.com/appliances/straightener.htm
--it also has a "how to use a flat iron" guide towards the bottom.

P.S:: if you do choose to blow dry it- put in hairspray or the Heat Defense Spray to protect your hair from being damaged.

i hope this helps!
xx

I suggest brushing it out and naturally letting it dry straight with a bit of straightening product in it, then once it's dry put some heat protection product in it to keep it shiny and less frizzy. Then flat iron it!

Viola!

Invest in a quality straightener, like GHD, and straighten your hair. It's probably not giving you the results you want right now because you have a crappy straightener.

Wow this got lots of replies...hah.
But yeah I agree with what most of those people were saying, any ceramic hair straightener will work good but chi is a very popular brand. They're expensive though....I have a wigo and it works really well. It cost me $70 online.
Anyways, you can find lots of different "hair straightening sprays" or whatever you want to call them at just about any salon.
All you do is (well, read the instructions of course) spray it on (usually) dry hair and it'll protect your hair from heat damage.
Personally, I like the brands "S Factor" and "Beyond the Zone". happy.gif
And you can look at my hair on my profile...it's really straight...
It's naturally curly though.
Soo yeah. :)
