Talk to her about sports, music, your favorite artist... a good song that just came out. Tell her about your day. What happened in class. Something funny you noticed in the day. Tell her about a fight you had... or ask her how HER day went. And what she did that day. Ask her about her hobbies and what she likes to do on her spare time. Once you find something in common... the conversation will go from there. Hope that helped.

eh...random topic i guess, but if the girl is shy, then you gotta be the one that keeps starting convo, she might wanna talk to you badly but thens shes jus too shy to start convo. that was lik me back thens before i dated my ex, WOW i was shy, i dont talk to anyone unless they talk to me, and i talk really really soft lol. but then after i dated my ex i started changing, wasnt as shy no more. now that we broke up, i kno i cannot be shy or imma jus b some girl with no friends so yeah i would talk to everyone and stuff
