I think Kerry did the right thing by conceding. If he challenged and sued, it would have torn the country apart even more. It's a step in the right direction by the Democratic party.

All of you think the world's going to end now that Bush is up for a second term. But you're dead wrong. When (not if) we get out of our current situation, I'm going to laugh at all of you people that moved to Canada.

this country is not going to fall apart. I feel terrible for Kerry. I really do. But just let Bush finish what he started. Then its over. He can do a lot in 4 years, but America has been through so much that Kerry supporters and everyone can make it through this too.

I think it was a democrat who proposed a bill to reinstate the draft. Saying Bush is the one who will do it is preposterous.

What has he done? He brought us back from the recession that we inherited from Bill Clinton. He has lowered taxes, helped schools across America. And most importantly, he has protected the US from the threat of terrorism and evil doers. Thanks to him, I will be able to go to college in two years without fear.

Excuse this double post, but I needed to respond to this one.

The draft bill was defeated soundly, I think only two people voted in favor of it (I think one was Charlie Rangel of New York, but I'm not sure).

Neither side wanted a draft. The whole draft deal was a scare tactic.

i'm glad that GWB is still our president. yes i voted for him. but i gotta give props to kerry's speech. it was done in an awesome manner. but people shouldnt be bitter that the person they wanted to be president isnt. STOP saying that u want to move to another country now because you think bush is gonna ruin this country. ppl are always gonna think that the president was crappy...haha i bet if kerry got elected, four years from now we'd be hearing the same complaint.

And then i have to be in my senior year, trying to figure out if I can compete against a private school student! Yal need to start reading facts and not what you hear from other people! Its some of you people that voted for Bush that makes this country so damn ignorant and hated by others. How has Bush made this country safe? He should of never had to do that! 9/11 should of never happened and Homeland Security wouldn't have been necessary. I personally still do not feel safe. The land of the free right? Then why don't I feel free... Every year that passes our personal security is getting more and more open. We won't have privacy sooner or later. One thing on this war on Iraq, Bush did the worst thing any person can do. He sent our troops over there and more and more are dying with each passing day. Why not give another person a chance?

Sorry to act to much of a Liberal Democrat.

those actually were some of the basis of why i voted for him (bush). some people vote with their conscience, and there really isnt anything wrong with that. its just like people voting within their party. yes im a democratic but i dont vote for people just because they're democrats.

yea its horrible that troops had to be sent to war. but think about this approximately 1,370,000 unborn children are aborted annually in america. see all the babies that never got the chance to live because of abortion still being legel in this country? idk i just had to say that. _smile.gif

What are you talking about? That's just liberal propoganda, which you've taken as fact. EVERYONE got tax cuts. My family got a rebate, and we aren't rich. You also misunderstand the No Child Left Behind act. Bush two faced? What does d*ck Cheney's daughter have to do with Bush's morals? Your logic is off as well with the businesses. If that was true, Bill Gates and Donald Trump would make a good President. Thankfully, we all don't think like you.

Your teacher is a god damned dimwit.

You realize about 6 of the states in the midwest were swing states, right?

It's called being the better campaigner.

Bush won 59+ million to 55+ million...

If Kerry had won the Electoral votes, everyone that b*tched and moaned in 2000 about Bush's victory would be a damn hypocrite.

What are you talking about? That's just liberal propoganda, which you've taken as fact. EVERYONE got tax cuts. My family got a rebate, and we aren't rich.

yeah some people bought cars with their tax cuts. some people, like my uncle, bought a pizza.

All of you think the world's going to end now that Bush is up for a second term.  But you're dead wrong.  When (not if) we get out of our current situation, I'm going to laugh at all of you people that moved to Canada.

lol thats exactly right
every one is acting like the world is going to end now

yeah, the moving to canada thing was a joke. and i'm not saying it's the end of the world .. i just think kerry would have done a totally better job of cleaning up the situation we're in and bush just would have made it worse. he's like a war obssessed monkey. but oh well, theres nothing we can do about it now .. ermm.gif

yea its horrible that troops had to be sent to war. but think about this approximately 1,370,000 unborn children are aborted annually in america. see all the babies that never got the chance to live because of abortion still being legel in this country? idk i just had to say that. _smile.gif

those "children" aren't even wanted though _smile.gif

That doesn't make abortion right. But let's try not to derail the topic.

i was SO VERY ANGRY when i found out Bush won. he is the worst president ever. Kerry should've won. Kerry had the popularity vote.. the electorial college votes thing is bullsh*t. it might have worked 200 years ago, but it doesnt work now. 4 years ago, Al Gore also had popularity vote. I was too naive to understand the full concept, but now i do and im even more pissed off at bush than i have ever been. im proud to say im from New York and we support Kerry. Kerry did a good job, convincing the most populated states to vote for him. 55 and 33 electorial college votes from (respectively) California and New York.

Next election, i'll finally be able to vote. If Hilary Clinton and Rudy Guliani were to run.. i'd say i would vote for Rudy Guliani. he was a great mayor and he would be an even better leader of the U.S.

sigh, sigh.

i am a hardcore dem, even though i'm 12. whatever, doesn't matter.
i was still crying when i heard that bush won..
and we're still debating on if we'll move to canada or not.

but there's no use complaining, he's not going to die. if he does, then.. cheny.. will take over, and it'll be even worse.
or we could just shoot them both.. :D
