this is always a fun (??) topic to talk about.. have u ever told a guy that u like him? or an expirience like that...
when i was in 7th grade i told this guy that i liked him and i asked fer his sn the last day ii was suposed to see him and he it to me right? soon i found out that it was fake... wen i told this story to one of my friends. she knew him and she talked to him one day and asked him about me.. and his response was "oh her? yea i gave her a fake sn" _dry.gif LOL
but yea.. ever had anything like that happen to u? or maybe post ways to tell someone u like them. whistling.gif

i love you is a cliche now-a-days. No true meaning anymore.

you say, "You dont know what you`re talking about, you shouldnt cuss so much either"

she`ll say, "DONT f*ckING TELL ME WAHT TO DO. ITS A FREE WORLD BITCH. *more cussing*"

a week later...

"OMG HE BROKE WITH ME *cry cry* *cuss cuss* I HATE HIM *cuss cuss*"

a week later...

"I LOVE HIM SO MUCH, I MISS HIM."

a week later..

"OMG I LOVE HIM SO MUCH, HES NOTHING LIKE SO AND SO"
*cussing* *make out* *cussing*

hmm yeah i've used i love you when i haven't meant it but only once really and thats when i was naive and thought it was love.. ermm.gif i use those words now with my boyfriend but we didn't start saying it until a few months into the relationship and until we both truly meant it. they are strong words and i think people need to learn that.

I concur. The topic title was unrelated to the post, itself.

Anyway, about your situation.. Um.. yea okay so he gave you the wrong sn.. Bleh forget him.. there's plenty of fish in the sea, as the cliche goes.

yea, I've heard the words "I Love You" being misused, overused, etc.

But usually, when I do say it, I mean it. I'm 16, but I mean, I've been with my boyfriend for almost 2 years (2 years this month!) and I think I have the right to say those 3 little words to him becuase each time I say it, I mean it. Only once ina while I randomly say it. But I say it reassure him just how much I love him... But deep down, everything I say won't account for how much I really do love him.

haha I agree, JambaJUICE. Little kids saying they love someone.

Bleh, and also, I'm amazed that some people will say that they love someone that they have a crush on, when they've never dated that person. Personally, I think that's one of the times when "i love you" is misused... mellow.gif

iono i think its stupid? .. eh? .. yeah the words pretty much getting abused.. but its good to say it if u've been going out with that person for a LONG time? .. ya kno? ..

how long do you think you should date/go out for to say that word? .. 5 months? years? . eH?

the word has been abused. -_- But yknow, us teenagers jus' can't accept "i like you." Those people will never find love.

BTW, jambajuice, I love your post, =) its what I wanted to say. And you wrote it beautifully.

If you truly love someone though, whether it be a friend, you parents, your siblings, your boyfriend/ girlfriend... dont' hesitate to let them know how much you appreciate them or love them. They may not be there the next day... trust me, i know. My friend died this past week. He was 19 years old. It was so unexpected. Tell them you love them or that they're a awesome person. Dont' hesitate. Do it now.

Aha, yeah I love you is being so overused that it's becoming just a meaningless word. Don't you remember the good ol' days when I love you actually had a meaning? But sometimes, I love you is being used properly and they actually mean it....but those stupid elementary school kids say I love you to each other every day. Quote Charlie Brown, "GOOD GRIEF!"

I have never actually heard it overused or not used in the right way except from my ex. But I do understand the younger people saying it and it being wrong...but hey at that time in their lives thats what they think. they will find out sooner or later what true love is

The words "I Love You" has been used so much it has no importance now...Like some peple after they go out like 2 or 3 times they say "I Love you" to me ou shouldn't say that until your really sure....but....some people.....Like this guy he asked me out and on the phone he'd scream "i love you!" he hardly knew me!! but yea...I love you is way overused..... cry.gif

Aha too true. This one guy who likes me kept telling people he loved me and put it in his profile and everything. I mean, we're only in EIGHTH grade! And the only times hes ever talked to me was when his best friend used to like me and online once or twice.

But if you do love someone.. whether its as a friend or more, say it to them. Just know that most likely its infatuation

I've never told a guy I love you, except my dad. And I only say I love you to my family and close friends. It's something very important.

OMG this is the perfect topic. i've been thinking about this for a long time, and yes "i love you"has been overused WAY too much. i used to say it all the time, but now i remember, u shouldn't, cuz it can hurt feelings...i have friends who hook up and they say "i love you so much" and then an hour later they're like "i dont 'love him anymore" and the next day it's back on, i mean get a life, love is a very powerful word, don't take it for granted _smile.gif
