but im poor, just trying to save money and am not aspiring to be a rockstar...yet. i was looking into a yamaha EG112, cause its at costco, and its cheap. its even cheaper on ebay, but i dont wanna wait for an auction to end....

the music store down the street sells Johnson electric guitars, and the other one in the mall sells gibson/ephiphone.

i heard fender was a good brand, um, squire/stratocaster, but they're kinda pricy?

im really going for the yamaha.

any other suggestions or comments, maybe some other brands?

no more than $200...preferably with an amp and stuff. that yamaha one comes with an amp, for $179. i went to the local music store, and the guys like, NO! don't get that, get this! a beringer(sp)? , but hes offering it to me for the same price as the yamaha with amp and stuff.

it could be just sales talk. but see, i can deal with this guy, not at costco...so i might go with his, idk.

they had some squire's there, but they were all in the 230+ range. (no amp kiddies)
