Alright. So if you had the choice of being in a serious relationship with someone "safe" OR testing the waters a bit and leading an exciting and more "daring" dating life instead, which would you choose?
I ask because I'm currently in that sort of situation. There is this guy I've been seeing for 2 1/2 years but we recently broke up. Since then, I've been dating around a bit and have actually been having a pretty good time too. The problem is, I don't really share a "deep connection" with any of the other guys I've been dating. It's all just for "fun" and to add a little spice to my love life I guess, but nothing serious. My ex boyfriend on the other hand, is total hubby material and he's recently expressed his desire to get back together and to repair the problems we had before. Now I don't know what to do because one part of me wants to be with him, to love him as I had before. But the other part of me wants to continue this more spontaneous and thrilling lifestyle I've picked up. I mean, I am only 21 years old, should I be settling down already? I really do love him but I'm worried that I'm missing out on something... at the same time, I don't want to lose him either. I hope this isn't all to confusing. I'm sure I'm making it more complicated than it is. |

Hmm.
I'd probably go with the more "safe" relationship.. because it's.. well, "safe" and stuff, like you said. The other one sounds like it might be more fun, but if there really aren't any deep connections, then.. I'd probably go for the "safe" one. 21 isn't old.. I don't think you should be settling down. Hm. I would probably go with the safe one.. but if you're having a lot more fun with the other choice.. then maybe that one? [shrug] |

I have two answers, actually...
The thing is, if it were me, I would go for a daring relationship and date just for fun. But after all, I am a lot younger than you, so under no circumstances would I consider a serious relationship. However... Settling down is something that is a personal decision, and the age seems to be different for every woman or man. But if you think that 21 is old enough to settle down, then by all means, get back together with your man. But remember, that there really isn't anything legal connecting the two of you. If you get back together with him and feel the urge to date less seriously, you can always break up. There ARE no rings, after all... =] |

eh that sucks roxy haha... either way u will feel unsatisfied no?
well...first choose what u value more, a deep serious relationship or crazy spontanious fun? Honestly in ur situation ... i woldnt really consider settling down, if u feel like ur missing out on fun, have fun...and maybe on the way u find someone who will connect with u like ur ex boyfriend did,but only in a different way.... "Dont leave the one you love for the one you like" that quote is..uGhZ makes u think huh.... Hrm and ... another thing i want to add, maybe u should hook up with ur ex again, but just work on the part of the relationship u lack with him...like the fun ,spontanious crazy stuff...you know... im sure theres more to ur relationship but yea. For Me? I'm only 17 heh... i enjoy wild crazy momments , and fast relationships... but it wouldnt hurt to have someone i can just be with for a long time do what regular couples do and stuff... Bleh i've lived both kind of lifestyles and i enjoy them pretty much equally... Damn tough situation... But realizing that i do have alot of time b4 i have to start settling down...ima have to go with the crazy fun life style for now. I mean... Just think about it roxanne...what do u value more in a relationship? Where are u at in ur life rite now? 2 and 1/2 years is alot to throw away just for a few crazy momments isnt it? Do u think it will work if u 2 try to give the relatinship another go? Wow ... sorry roxanne haha...kinda babbled....hope its not too confusing...and sorry i dont i have an answer ><; |

well i guess if you don't have one that you really love, leading the daring life is better, but if you have the one that you love, one is enough....but then again how do u judge who you love and who you dont?
You're only 21, you're still young, i think if i were asked to choose, i'd probably go for the daring life |

i didn't read any of the other cbers responses, and i realize you guys are back together. my advice is now pointless so i thought i'd make up somethin totally absurd.
tell him to back the f off and sleep around with as many guys as you can so you can get in more practice. then drive over there (what like it's 4 hours away right) and rape him. rape him hard. and he'll be like omg you are so awesome. then tell him oh yea? we didn't use protection and now you have aids. |
