Ugh, kids in my grade drive me insane. They all think they're so smart and/or sarcastic.. So tough and superior. Well, you know what? Who cares if you're a member of a posse that wears too much blue eyeshadow and acts (as a whole) like sluts?

In the future, you're going to realize that the world out there won't respond positively to your annoying egotistical attitude. That they don't care how much money your parents have, or that you were "popular" in Junior High.

Besides, my dears, we're in NORTH DAKOTA. This is hardly a sample of what the "real world" is like.

/end rant

I know! I have some kids like that in my group! Some completley changed just because they're now " bad ass eigth graders".

They're not being true to themselves. They need a huge reality check.

I haven't posted that much, lately and...

HAH! I don't think they're on a higher level than me. Actually quite the opposite. I think they're all ignorant assholes who have a distorted view of how they actually are. Idiots...

Mmm-hmm.
I know, Liz.
Well.. of course I know. I see the exact same asshats as you do.. everyday. -_-

Yeah. For the most part, I hate my age group, as well.
I don't see why most of them feel the need to ""belong"", or whatever.
As long as you have a friend or two, you're set [in that area, anyway.]

And yeah.
I hate it when they try way to f*cking hard to be funny and omgawd sarcastic, but they just come across as stupid.

I don't mind the people in my age group. ermm.gif Probably cuz it's a really small private school. But I kind of agree. Some kids try too hard to be "cool", but the truth is, it really doesn't matter. Sooner or later we're all gonna grow up(or maybe not ALL of us) and I don't give a shit who's "popular". And a lot of the kids in my school are very childish. God, we're going to high school soon. Grow up. stubborn.gif

I. TOTALLY. AGREE. WITH. YOU.

The REALLY sad thing is the whole thing with image. All you have to do to join that "clique" is that wear their clothes (which are totally crassy and out of style, let me tell you. We live in Canada for God's sake). If you start wearing mad-tight spandex pants and $300 fur collared down jackets, PEOPLE START TALKING TO YOU.

It's so damn stupid. I know a girl who was like that last year, but went to Hong Kong. "Hongers", as they like to call them, are the utter reason why they wear tight pants. They look down on people who wear anything too outrageous or too colourful to pull off as "punk".

So the girl comes back from Hong Kong, and wears slightly funkier clothes. GUESS WHAT? People start talking behind her back. FOR WEARING DIFFERENT CLOTHES. She's the same f*cking person, but people HATE her now. Just from a pair of yellow capris and Adidas boxing shoes.

The thing that pisses me off also is that those people are actually MORE STYLISH THAN THEY ARE. It's like Burnaby's created their own lameass fashion called "TNA and 555". EVERYONE LOOKS THE FRICKIN SAME. I saw the same jacket 30 times in one school day. It's truly rare to find someone who's courageous enough to wear a tweed jacket and colourful ballet flats. Because obviously some people are too LIGHT HEADED to understand the concept.

Sorry if I kind of stole your rant rights, LOL. But it was really pissing me off. =)

To be in with the "in" people you have to be FRIENDS with them.

They are "in" because:

1.They are NOT UGLY

2. Arent sluts.

3.Get DECENT grades

4.Get along with more then 70 percent of the schools 7th grade population.

5.Know people outside they grade.

Everyone my age is like... whoring themselves off just to get a boyfriend/girlfriend.. to get their first kiss, whatever. It pisses me off. Why would you want to squander your first kiss on a relationship that won't make it past three days? That is a generous estimate, by the way.

Another thing that bugs me would be the "non-conformists" and I should know, one of them was/possibly is one of my best friends. She would always be like "BE TRUE TO URSELF!" and I'm like, "what the f*ck? you can't put them all into a big group of fakes. What if they really are being themselves?" and her arguments were unresearched.. Ugh, what a hypocrite. Like, one day she was on this whole "I don't drink milk because they don't treat the cows right!"... at the time she was eating an icecream thingy. We're all.. the f*ck? That's a dairy product, dear. With milk in it. *gasp gasp*

But that's a rant for another time =]

Anyways, I tend to ignore things like this. If I do begin to notice things, I tend to get all pissed about how they run their lives and sometimes i honestly feel like going up to them and tell them how i feel they should run their lives, but that's horrible, because it dihtades my feeling of human diversity, so I shrugh it off and go about with my life.

hehe...a chance to rant..goodie!

I'm in eighth grade and it really seems to be happening now. I think the issue is that people are trying to find who they really are and leave their mark on middle school before we move on to high school. The problem is they're not doing it the right way. Instead of acting all 'gangsta' (no offense but i think that is totally full of shit) and needing to be cool, and evaluating your social status by how many people you've gone out with, you should be worrying about more important things. I mean, come on, in my grade we're only 13 and 14, we've got the rest of our lives, and honestly, do you really think we'll remember these things when we're 30 or 40? People need to just be more accepting and not label everyone, and be themselves.

QUOTE(sporadic @ Oct 19 2004, 12:15 AM)
Ugh, kids in my grade drive me insane. They all think they're so smart and/or sarcastic.. So tough and superior. Well, you know what? Who cares if you're a member of a posse that wears too much blue eyeshadow and acts (as a whole) like sluts?

In the future, you're going to realize that the world out there won't respond positively to your annoying egotistical attitude. That they don't care how much money your parents have, or that you were "popular" in Junior High.

Besides, my dears, we're in NORTH DAKOTA. This is hardly a sample of what the "real world" is like.

/end rant

ughhh i think it iwll matter house much money your parents have... money gets you to a lot of places... and ppl who hav money usually ahs connections... and in the working world you NEED connections.

I'm not going to start with people in my age group. I'll just say Wow. How ignorant can you be?

mmm...yes. I hate the 16 year olds at my school. Most of them are high maintenance make-up wearers...who walk around strutting their gucci wear and some other crap...and guys are so full of themselves.

ahhhhhhhhh grow up...!

I'm in 8th Grade currently, and at my school, it's not too big except for about 50% of the people. There is no such thing as being popular in my grade, there never has since we were in 6th grade, and 7th grade. Everyone knows everyone. So I have yet to experience being "unpopular" at school.

But yes, people in my age group annoy the HELL out of me online, alot. Especially those who think they're so cool. God, get a life.

yeah, same here. I hate people who act all gangsta, it's not like they even really know what it really is to be one. And people who think they are all that with rich parents *puke*

i know. i've seen it so many times. there's this girl who said something along the lines of this: "i'm blonde, i'm skinny, i have big boobs, i look like a model, i'm every boys dream". you don't know how much that pissed me and so many people off. acting all whorish and like a slut. people should stop being so conceited and so full of themselves.

the kids are probably just going through a phase, they'll get out of it once they hit high school when the world seems a little more different to them and they dont get as much attention they thought they'd get when they were in middle school.

See in my school, everyone just puts you in either 'You have a lot of friends' or 'You don't have a lot of friends'.
