The day had been what I'd normally called "blah". "Blah" meant bland. Like drinking regular coffee with almost no milk and very little sugar. It started out normal and was getting more normal by the very minute. I woke up at 9am like i normally did on a Saturday. I brushed my teeth. I washed my face. I contemplated taking a shower, then decided against it. I walked down the stairs and i ate my breakfast. I said "good-morning" to the parents and kicked the sister. Just like every other saturday of my entire life.

I got into the car and drove myself to the hospital for the volunteering program that i do every other saturday. I open the doors, say "hi" to the receptionist, walk down that hall with the picture of a flower to the door at the very end of it.

Then i stop and wait. I'm feeling a feeling that this day actually might be different. I put my hand on the doorknob, twist, then thrust the door open. I was wrong. It was just the normal people in the room. I sign myself in and join the conversation like i normally do every saturday.

But then the door open. And i saw him. Oh, let me tell you, it wasn't just any "him". I've never seen him before. But right then, i felt like i've been looking in his eyes every second of every minute of my life. He was a sudden jolt. A realization. Tall and built, it was difficult to get enough of him in just one glance. I had to blink twice. Maybe even a third time.

"Hello", He said.
