Famous Haunted Places - Bahay na Pula (Red House)
“Bahay na Pula” was a big house in Bulacan that were occupied by the Japanese soldiers during the Second World War. Women from the nearby towns were brought there to serve as sex slaves for the Japanese soldiers.

The guerillas were brought to another portion of the house where they were brutally tortured to death. The dead bodies were buried on the ground beside the house.


Today, “Bahay na Pula” is believed to be haunted by spirits. Passersby often hear sounds of a chain being dragged, screams, and sobs. The sounds are believed to be created by the people who were tortured and died inside the said house.

Mirage Hotel
Almost two decades ago, three Filipino flight attendants of the country’s flagship airline had to go on an extra flight in London. They arrived in the place almost midnight and since their extra flight was not anticipated, they had no advanced booking in the usual places reserved for flight attendants. Because they had to fly back to their destination on that morning, they decided to look for the nearest hotel where they could rest for a few hours.


They flagged a taxi that took them to a hotel that was crowded. The front deskman said the only available space was in the attic. The women did not hesitate, after all, the only thing that they wanted to do was to sleep for a short period of time.

The room was very spooky and the temperature inside was very cold. None of them were able to sleep for they felt something strange – as if they were not the only ones inside the room. Strange sounds began to emanate around the room. The sounds kept on bothering them so they decided to check out even before the sun came up. When they went to the counter to checkout, the attendant was not there, so they left the payment and went out of the building as fast as they could.

When the three went back to London a few months after the incident, they decided to visit the hotel where the scary incident took place.

They boarded a taxi again and asked the driver to bring them to the same spot where they had been three months earlier. To their surprise, they only saw debris of the eerie building where they slept a few months ago. When they asked the taxi driver what happened to the hotel they had stayed in, he informed them the hotel burned down more than four years ago and was not rebuilt since.
When they approached the place, they found the money they had left behind at the front desk among the debris! The three flight attendants looked at each other in shock!
