ok. my sister is watching some stupid show in MTV and what do i hear in the background? first: hatebreed. never seen a hatebreed video on MTV, but it'll work for background music. then, within the next 5 minutes, i hear Machine Head, Devildriver, Atreyu, and Fear Factory all as background music. i hate MTV.

any of my metalhead brothas/sistas feelin me?

Yeah MTV bugs me. Not a big fan of metal but I get what you're saying man. I hate when they won't play a music video by some band, but they effin use it as background music for another sterotype teenage life story show.

And they have too much reality-tv shows that some of them does not make any sense.

I LOVE MTV and i hate you if you hate it which you do so I do. I think MTV is the epitome of ENTERTAINING. I rarely ever get any revelations on life, but when you think about it nothing ever causes those revelations but yourself. MTV is pure entertainment. But TRL and all those other shows which promote their shitty music ARE HORRIBLE. Oh and I like their Choose or Lose specials.

The M doesn't stand for music. It stands for marketing. Marketing Television. They're after the teenage to mid twenties demographic.

The shows they have are idiotic.

Jackass- Yay, morons hurting themselves
Viva La Bam- I'll admit I've laughed at this show before, but if he's really like this in real life, then he obviously wasn't disciplined as a child. The show consists of idiots hurting fat people.
Andy Milonakis- The kid is a moron. I actually wanted to give this show a chance, but when I turned MTV un, he had a mask made out of meat on his face so I gave up.
Wonder Showzen- It's like Avenue Q, except it sucks.
Made- Yeah, what a great concept! Teach kids that with enough money, you can be something you're not!
Pimp my Ride- Should be called Rice my Ride.
XBOX 360 Special- Hooray for 30 minute long commercials!

In summary- MTV is terrible. Don't watch it.

Why am I an idiot, for realizing what MTV is for what it truly is? And I don't see how I am being a hater. As a consumer and cable subscriber, I have the right to approve or disapprove of the channels made available to me. Therefore I voice my opinion. I would think Viacom would want people to voice their opinions on their service.
