doesn't it annoy you when there's this person who only talks to you on AIM to ask you the homework for a class? _dry.gif yeah. annoys the crap out of me, but i dont want to be mean and say GO AWAY. and giving them the wrong assigment on purpose makes me feel guilty.

so.......any suggestions, advice?

uhh, if they are your friend from school i dont see any thing wrong with it. If they only talk to you on aim and you're not really friends with them ask them why they do that to you, simply

meh but i wouldn't want to block them or anything, cuz people always seem to find out when I do.

tell them that it pisses you off and you'd appreciate it if they i/m-med you for normal conversations rather than just for HW.



or you can tell them to eff off and copy down the homework themselves.

no, because i do that because if i try to talk to them other wise we just end up sitting there, going so...yeah...whats up? etc but at least if i ask for homework it gives me a reason to start a conversation

thats cool, but some of my friends stop the convo after asking me a question. THATS what pisses me off.

Just tell them the assignment. They'll either say thanks and stop talking to you or try to keep up a convo.

Either way, it's nothing to be stressing over.

make an *exclusive* SN and link it to your normal sn. block all AIMers except the people you choose. whenever people are bothering you on your non-exclusive SN, you can just go invisible and stay on your exclusive SN. thaaat's my system.

yeah, that's what i do. eh, i don't really mind it, but in middle school- everyone would want to copy my homework because i was the smart one. bleh, that annoyed me.

Tell them that if they continue to just talk to you on aim, you'll block them (say that when you see them at school). And if they continue, simple. BLOCK them.

Yeah, this chick I don't even know took my sn off my site and said that to me once. Then she kept asking me and wouldn't stop when I eventually blocked her. _dry.gif


I ask for homework help sometimes, but I'm not that inconsiderate mellow.gif. People ask but I don't really mind. If it bugs you that much, tell them you don't have it and maybe they'll go away eventually.

How else am I gonna get the homework if none of my friends are in my class.

It takes like 2 secs, and at most like 3 minutes to tell them what the homework is. Not really at all that hard or time consuming.


That's not to say though I do it all the time(asking others). And if I do, I'm considerate about it and apologize beforehand about taking their time.

just pretend that you're very busy and that you can't talk but you just left on the AIM only cause you're talking to your relatives in another country and the reason u're talking them is all about business

Just tell them, nextime, to copy the homework on any agenda books or a paper so they won't forget it. Or, as what Jose said, turn on your privacy mode, but i'd rather do the first example, because it's more helpful than the second example. _smile.gif
