Navigation Bar, in Blog Space Options

hi guys!
wanna thank whoever helped me on my last post. very helpful.
okay. i looked at the tutorial on "how to make a xanga skin" and i found that very helpful, and i think i followed all the directions. too. =)
okay. here's my problem. on my skin, i have a designated area for my "blog" and another column for my navigation. i put the "navigation" code at the very bottom of all my html in the header box. but the navigation column keeps appearing in the "blog" space. no matter how far right i move it, it still remains in that space!
do i need to make another div layer to put the navigation code in orsomething?
whatever i need to do, please do help by givin me the codes, and where i should put them. i appreciate all your help so much!

Yeah, you'd need two div layers in your coding.

hey, thanks for clearing that up. i read through those div tutorials, and i think i need a floating div layer. im not too sure though. could someone please just help me with my code, like what i should change or add so that the navigation bar goes into the right column? that would be splended. i really do appreciate all help. thank you agian!!!!

okay. the first code seems to be for positioning the blog? okay. i already have one in my code, so i wont use that...if it will still work. im really confused because i already have bits of codes here and there, so im thinking maybe i'll post my entire code up. it would be great if someone could walk me through, and say, "remove this" and and put in "this" instead. i really really thak you guys for all your help already, but im kinda not understanding it, and im really trying. so please do help. i really really thank u all for ur patience

unfortunately it still didnt work...i deleted my entire code, and put in the new code, putting in numbers for the width and height. it still is in the "blog space". here's a screenshot of what its doing.
