upload the picture to a host like photobucket or 1asphost. Then use this code.

CODE
<!-- begin code provided by createblog.com -->
<img src="URL">
<!-- end code provided by createblog.com -->

I hope i did that code right. If you host it to photobucket they should give you the html tag. Once you got the tag put it in yout html header thangg

Photobucket.com > Upload Files > Browse > (Find your image) > Upload > Copy and paste URL

CODE
<!-- begin code provided by createblog.com -->
<img src="PASTE URL HERE">
<!-- end code provided by createblog.com -->

Paste the code into your Custom Header HTML.

Okay, here's another site that might be easier.
Go to http://www.imageshack.us/index.php
Click 'Browse' and find your image and double click it
Then something similar to this will show up in the area: C:\Documents and Settings\krnl0v3r\My Documents\xangaimage.jpg
Then click 'Host It!'
Copy the image URL under the text that says 'Here is the direct link to your image' and paste it where the code below says IMAGE URL HERE
Go to http://www.xanga.com/claf and find your Custom Header HTML and insert the code in there.

CODE
<!-- begin code provided by createblog.com -->
<img src="IMAGE URL HERE">
<!-- end code provided by createblog.com -->

There's a little link in the upper right-hand corner that says 'Sign-up!' on Photobucket.
Click on it.
Now, wait for the email, and activate your account. Then, sign in.
After doing so there's a little box that says 'Add Picture'.
Click on 'Browse' and find your image file.
Upload it by pressing the 'Submit' button.
Get the URL of your image and paste it into 'Notepad' or something.
~*~
Now, using the code provided, go to CLAF (Look and Feel) and paste the code in your 'Insert Header HTML' spot.
It's kinda hard to miss....
Replace the text where your image URL goes with your image URL.

YOU'RE DONE!
