Has anyone read the book. well, it blew out the truth about the life of Jesus Christ. though i must admit, it was a really good book, it just changed everything about what i know about the bible. Like, for example, Jesus was married and had children, and that the holy grail, represented his wife. what do you think??

the bible-contradictory stuff that the author states in his book aren't considered to be true. i'm not saying that they're false, i'm just saying that no one has been able to prove the things in his book. but then again, no one has been able to prove the bible to be accurate either.

most of the whole "jesus was devirginized and has an heir living right now" theory came from the book The Holy Grail. So if you want to learn more about this theory, read the book. I havn't read it yet, but I want to in the future happy.gif

Jesus was never married and he was a virgin. There aren't real true facts to rep the da vinci code

The book was fiction.
Eventhough the places and things mentioned were fact, the book was still fiction.

Lemme repeat that, it's FICTION.

I just finished reading this book a few days ago. Wow. I read it in two days - that's how good of a book it was. Hmm...it really makes you wonder about things, huh? I really want to read the prequel, Angels and Demons, when I get a chance. Haha I brought this back from the dead...dun dun DUN.

Haha, I'm exactly the opposite, I read Angels and Demons but not the da vinci code. The prequel is really deep...I used up a lot of brain cells reading the book. I definitely want to read the da vinci code when I have a chance. happy.gif

it shouldnt change everything you thought to be true-its a ficticious book and the things in it are only theories, and should not change your beliefs

it was a good book though, the definition of a page turner and angels and demons was excellent as well, though i wasnt as impressed by the deception point

I don't know why all these devout Christians are so upset. If you had half a brain, you would know this never happened, and all of the things mentioned are theories, as it was mentioned earlier in this topic. I mean, seriously...you don't have to write another book proving why that ficticious one is wrong. Wow. People these days.

laugh.gif Oh no. Definitely not. Don't you ever wonder why it sells so much? All these churches burn them on the weekend. When they run out, they have to go out and buy some more. Just like they did with Harry Potter!

I did find it weird that like one chapter was about three or even two pages. I disagree with some of the things mentioned in the book, though.

but i dont read for religious reasons i read for entertainment and enlightenment
i thought the book was very good and gripping so stick with it

YES angels and demons i think was amazing! i wish i could say why but i dont want to ruin it (...very creative with a fate of four certain peoples... =X)

I loved it, i'm christian too and i still loved it. I guess people would then say im not a proper christian, but it's fiction i don't see what the big deal was. If we know its fiction why did like a million people have to go out and write books saying that its not true.. it just gives more attention to it.

The smarter thing to have done was too ignore it.

It's still a cool book :) Makes you think loads! But believe what you want.

People have the right to their own opinions :)

That's why you'll probably find it in the "Fiction" section of the library. It's not WRONG, it's MADE UP.

OK the book itself is fictional, but the concept behind it is not. Although many people say that jesus wasnt married and stayed a virgin 'til his death that is not the case. Jesus was a JEWISH man of age 30-33 and in those days, a jewish man had to marry or will be the disgrace of the city/village/town/etc, So my theory is, If Jesus wasnt married than he had a girlfriend or was gay-which I doubt. And although the author says that in the painting of the last supper, DaVinci paints mary magdaline at his side, that was infact the youngest apostle john which when painted or described, always seemed to have long hair and a girlish face to emphasize his age and his purity- since women were regarded as pure and the face of the madonna.
