i juss wanna no cause every 1 keeps calling me a major prep and wen i ask them they say its me...wut iz it!!!
 AND NO>>DONT TELL ME ITS SOME! PREPPY!!!!  ..and iz it good 2 be preppy??...or wut about really preppy??...all mi friends think im da rich girl u no?? i kan aford anything and i dress in tha expensive clothes and designer bags u no?? but i kinda wear like american eagle..tight stuff like shirts that show me abs lol (dont relly have any abs though lol)..nd like i wear makeup and stuff...u no tha tight track suits that show off ur body that r like 100$ 4 a pair of pants and 100$ 4 da jacket... iz that preppy??  technically im the popular cheerleader...nice clothes great bf big house u no...im all dat but the bitchyness...i have so many friends and evry1 like me...im popular..the good kind...so does that coun as preppy

well i don't know exactly how to define a prep but people usually associated to preps are like people from country clubs and some kind of fancy schmancy private school.
like for guys, plaid shorts and a polo shirt with the collar flipped up would be considered a prep. a major prep actually. as for girls i guess like a polo shirt with the collar flipped up too, with a ribbon tied on her hair, and um, a pleated skirt. yeah i don't know. personally i feel theres nothing against being preppy, it's just not my style. |

A typical prep is white. (Sorry) I have a lot of them at my school and they have whiny voices and it's like they force themselves to have that voice. They also are very ditzy and stupid. To the point where I feel like smacking them in the head.
As for the boys, they look kinda gay to me. With those shell necklaces and the clothes that they wear. They look like high school frat boys. And there's nothing wrong with being a prep. My friend is sorta a prep, but she's really nice and super smart, but she's not a bai ren, so I guess that explains why. Anyway, yeah, nothing wrong to dress nice.  Just don't have a b*tchy attitude and you'll be fine. If you do, I'll have to smack you and make you look freaking stupid.

yeah preps are airheaded usually and say "like" all the time. and giggle too...most of them are cheerleaders, wear all the upbranded clothes, popular, etc....yeah, being a prep are usually not a bad thing unless your attitude sux around other ppl then your friends and dont backstab other preps and ppl in general...

a prep is a person tht...lets say, are trying to be good looking and shop like 24/7 (like at Gap or Abrocombie or w/e). the preps at my school are mean so..im not a big fan of them.
ps: preps also say "like", "totally", "no way!!", "Shut up!!", "OMG" every sentence and stuff..yaaah |

The word "prep" most likely originated from the word "prepatory", as in prepatory schools. The plaid skirts, polo shirts, white socks up to the knee, the whole deal. But I think that nowadays, people use the term "prep" for the snobby, so called "popular" people of their school. Or at least, that's what it means to me.
Y'know, how some people just dress to impress and are completely sucked into their social life, and suck up to people..? I dunno, that's how it goes for me.  You can dress to impress and all, just make sure you don't have the self-centered, b*tchy, air headed attitude to go with it.

Yeah im almost the same as you. I dress in ABercrombie and Fitch, Hollister, etc. I have designer purses. Some people are sometimes just jealous. Im not a b*tch but people think i am just because im preppy. Im sick of it!

eeeks.. the regular term for 'prep' isn't the kind of thing the people at my school go for. so i just call them 'preps' if they wear all the same stuff.. they buy stuff from Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, Hollister, Abercrombie, Papaya, AE, and etc.. they spend so much cash and end up looking all the same
so it kind of annoys me. there aren't a lot of real 'preps' at my school, but that's how i define them.

there is nothing wrong with being preppy in my opinion.
anyway sometimes people call other people 'preps' because they don't like them or are jelouse of them or soemthing. the real definnition is usually someone who pays a lot of money on clothes and buys abercrombi, and american eagle, and holister and stuff liek that. when people say 'prep' it is normally thought of as a cheerleader with blonde hair and stupid. but thats not it at all. |

guys.dont hate on preps. dont stereotype on them. its like saying all blacks are bad guys.. all chinese eat rice.. all irish people drink alot.. just because you witness a few prep that are mean.. doesnt mean all of them are. preps are cool btw
my definition is looking clean, wearing polos, khaki shorts, shell necklace, nice hair, flip flops/sandals.. thats just like any other style like punk, goth, etc. |
