So how about our school's having a pep rally the last period of our school day on Friday. laugh.gif It's the first one we've had in a long time. I don't even go to football games anymore...but I think I heard on some local sports show that they predict our team's supposed to do well this year. We have a new athletic director, and I think he's the one who started this pep rally thing. So do your schools have pep rallies, too? I've only seen them in movies and whatnot and always found it odd because our school never had any. mellow.gif

i think sixth graders at our school only get a "pep ralley". but i dont see what the point of it is...we really have nothing to be proud of -_-" and even if we did...it would be kinda funny xD cause our school initials are " pms" so it would be like " WOOO GO PMS!"
edit-- what i meant by our school pep rallies is like, those random assemblys.

Pep rallies at our school are a lot of fun. Fishies are always so lost looking... *giggles* But the marching band squishes in to the gym, and pretty much EVERYONE else in school, too. We have AWESOME chants and songs, which the ColourGuard gets to dance to with our flags. The cheerleaders do a few cheers, and our dance team dances (we call those two groups the 'strippers in training' because of the way they dance/move.) Our football team suxors, but it always has. No one goes to the game or the rallies to see the team, it's all about the band... ^.^

we have spirit rallys.
the shorten the day about 8 minutes and so its at the end of the day. so techncially you can ditch it. so everyone does except for people in it like marching band, drill team, al lthe sports in that season and yea..
security guards try to chase us..
hehe
but they are incredibly boring.

our school has pep rallies every friday i think, for the entire football season. im not sure. last friday was the first pep rally and us freshman [go fish! happy.gif ] got booed at, and we were like mellow.gif ok. the upperclassmen already told us. but i heard it gets worse everytime. like last year they wrapped freshman in toliet paper and made them race across the gym.

woohoo spartan pride!

we had a pep rally last friday... probaly last one in a long time.

that morning, we had 3 fights... okay. pep rally at end of day, they have 2 pep rally's, for north side of school and southside of school (the school is big rectangular shape and is 1/8th of a mile long seriously). after the end of the 1st show and ppl were coming out for 2nd one.. there were 4 more fights in the main hallway (the main hallway is the 1/8th of a mile long thing).. it was crazy...

i go into my class and all the sudden, i see this kid running and the "quiet AP" running and tackle the kid down and said "YOU AINT GOING NOWHERE" i though it was hilarious and so did the whole class.

well that's that.. pep rallys are okay tho.

my school is very obesessed with football, so yes, we have them. Once, my sister and her friends tried to ditch it, but they got caught. So as soon as they announce the varsity football team her and her 4 friends walked in the gym. it was hilarious. laugh.gif

Yeh, we have pep rallies. We just had one last friday. Personally, I actually enjoy them, 'cause we get to get out of class earlier, and I lyke the music they play. happy.gif I'm into the football team and dance team too, but not so much in the cheerleading. Lol, there was this one girl who almost fell when the others had to hold her up. Hrm, wonder how she got on the team.. ermm.gif

And plus, both our junior varsity and varsity football team kick butt. We went against this school called Rancho, and played two games against 'em the scores were 66-2 (junior varsity game) and 68-0 (varsity game). biggrin.gif Show that school spirit! Lol. Dork.. wacko.gif

all you do at pep rallies is just stand and watch the cheerleaders prance around and play music. biggrin.gif

pretty boring; only thing that draws peole there is the loud booming bass and cough skirts ^_^

like one or 2 a year maybe...it doesnt help me to get out of class because i almost have to work more being in marching band. the disadvantages are greater than the advantages. heat, cheerleaders, etc

we had a "community pep rally" a few weeks ago and it was incredibly useless. a bunch of little kids trying to act tough or peppy because their parents have just spoiledtheir chances of them ever becoming a well-adjusted band geek *sigh* but i just go really distracted...but practically no one came and ww had to stand there in the heat and playy the crappy fight song over and over and over and it was a total waste of time

I have no school spirit, but my rally was today. We cheered, played games, and every grade level did little skits. omg.. eggs were thrown at the freshmans.

I can honestly say now that my lack of school spirit is in no way contingent on how the school is doing itself.

Yea we have pep rallies. Except we just call them rallies.
Ours is on Friday and I can't wait!!
We have the best rallies in the district. It's crazy loud and really fun.
Whichever class has the most spirit wins money for their class. Pure fun. CLASS OF 2009!!!!

Yeah we have pep rallys at our school.
It's to honor the students that don't have any F's or U's on their report cards.
It's not very hard not to fail a class,
yet not a lot of kids get to go the rallies.

At our school's rallys,
we get free t-shirts _smile.gif

my high school had them, its a tradition, and we have spirt week where everyone decorates thier hallway but diff class each day so seniors are the last and we get into it a lot, but it depends on the class like when i was a senior our class didn't care as much as the sophmores did but its cool, and this year i went back to homecoming with my friends cause we came back from college to visit and we won.. we have a good football team =]

I honestly hate pep rallies. I think that they are a waste of time, and I always feel out of place because I'm one of those people who never cheer, at least not in situations like those.

I think there's a pep rally Thursday. I hope I don't have to go. It will be interesting to see if people are peppier now that our school seems to have the number one football and basketball teams in the state.

We have them.
I hate them though it mostly revolves all around the cheerleaders.
Then all the guys gape at them.
But it's nice to get out of class.

We have a pep rally Tuesday that was supposed to be for the success of the football team and the recently begun basketball season, but the football team just lost, so this should hopefully be amusing.
