i searched and nothing came up so here it is. i just thought it'd be nice to have a thread where we can all say goodbye to this awesome summer (it was awesome for me anyway). and blab and reminisce to ourselves.

LET ME HAVE A MOMENT. and you can have yours.

sooo..
heres to

late night karaoke.
birthdays
perverted asian men
arbutus club
michelles
bonding over sodas.
sticker pictures
lazy days at the beach
dinners at cactus club.
whistler and horseback riding
batting cage!!!
all the days we just hung out being bored
growing in faith with God
fireworks!
catching up with old friends
the people i met that have come and go.
walking down to the beach from west 10th
the raft
getting into sh*t with parents... always a pleasure.

this thread may be pointless, and you have no idea what any of the stuff i just listed means... but i don't care.

these are some of the moments that made my summer... and i am so sad to see this one go, way too quickly. :(

GOODBYE SUMMER 2004

your turn.

Ahh..I just survived my first week of highschool. Sadly, I never wanted to bid my goodbyes to the summer of 'o4, but I guess the time has come.

Goodbye to...

Roadtrips.
Createblogging all day.
Instant messaging all day.
Listening to music, non-stop.
Insomnia with a side of music videos.
I Love the '90s marathon.
Real World marathon.
Four-day long sleepovers.
Sweet sixteen birthday parties.
Staying at the movies 'til 1:00 AM.
Staying up 'til 4:00 AM or no sleep at all.
Sleeping in until 5:00 PM.
Waterballoon fights.
Hanging out at the Adventure Dome down at the Vegas strip.

Ahh...the joys of life. happy.gif 'Sad to see 'em go.. cry.gif

goodbye to...

nights at the beach

more lying to parents
backyard tanning
jamming
volunteering
team canada hockey day
getting martin brodeur's autograph

"summer 2004 compressed into a day" day
meeting him.
cruising in the car with somebody
more guy problems in one summer than in our entire lives
SPOONS
boring summer placements
rowboat guy
40-year-old-virgin
going to granville island way too many times
dreading the academics part of grade 12
the sisterhoooooood
discovering that drinking is not as much fun anymore..

Goodbye Summer 2005. The Best Summer Ever.

Goodbye to my dear Loveboat '05.
Goodbye to the memories in Taiwan.
Goodbye to the hardcore close bonds of the people I got to know.
Goodbye to the fun in the sun, and the fun in the dark.

The life long friends I've made in LB will be forever, though. Only my pictures are the reminiscence of my summer '05.

I guess I have to say goodbye Summer 2005! sad.gif I will miss:
  • Late night sleeping.
  • Stress free times.
  • No homework.
  • The relaxation in the jacuzzi.
  • Swimming in the pool until we're tired.
  • Cleaning the house (now our house is dirty, because I have no time to clean it up.)
  • Slacking around when I wake up.
  • Going somewhere we want to go.
  • Fun times.
  • And more!
I hope we could get over this year and move on to Summer 2006. stubborn.gif Curse you school! mad.gif

Goodbye summer '05.
Possibly the greatest summer I will have in my lifetime.
Goodbye to T4 on the Beach with all my friends in the blistering sun in May. One of the only times I've been truly content.
To lazing around in the sun with the knowledge that you've finished your AS levels.
To T in the Park. The greatsest musical experience of my life. (and ive seen clapton do a 15 minute solo)
To Les Bitches, where I got drunk every night for two weeks and needed 3 bin bags to take all my bottles of wine at the end of it.
To marijuana, which I started appreciating this summer.
To excessive alcoholism (ends tomorrow)
To freedom
To going to bed independently at 10pm.
To having my german friend round for 2 weeks
To Farncombe, 3 days of summer
To Thorpe Park
To London
To travelling by train at 7 am in the morning to travel 200 miles to get to work on time.
To 'we will rock you'
To ecstacy
To magic mushrooms
To finding my sexuality
To finding out more about myself than I have in the last 12 months
to the Beatles
To my new fledgling band
To camping under the stars
To the Weir

TO THE MOST BUSY HOLIDAY, and the most amazing holiday ever. back to the grind!

This thread helps me reflect on my summer. So I don't care how old this is, I'm bringing it up again..!

Summer 2006...

hot yoga
grouse grind again
sailing!
MEXICO short term missions trip
nightmarket
long distance relationship begins with boyfriend
bbq at my house
playland with the summer04 crew.. (:
Blueberry picking
Re-generation
lots of fondue
going to all the fireworks shows
first meaningful Canada Day ever..
--> Run for Canada, local jazz, Canada place, fireworks
trying tennis
going swimming for the first time in years
playing soccer and vball
greek food
hilarious skytrain ride
learning how to arcade 'drum'
having a yard sale with friends
bonding with some school friends ironically after graduation
checking out the new university
summer of no working (: and \: at the same time
late night true confections & sweet revenge for desserts
cruising around the city in the cars that everyone now has (:
continuing to volunteer
getting back satisfying provincial exam results

+ more to come hopefully... < 2 weeks left

again.. GO!

Regrettably my least active summer yet, even with college looming around the corner, but I'll be glad to see it go. Five weeks!

Goodbye in a bit to--
  • Tahoe, the only remotely normal family vacation I've ever been on
  • spontaneous Carmel-by-the-Sea trips
  • San Francisco
  • Davenport beach
  • making out in the middle of the night
  • fwb
  • staying out until dawn
  • advising '06
  • wandering around campus
  • co-ed sleepovers, staying up just talking
  • sleeping in
  • baking cookies
  • abusive parents & overall dysfunctional family
  • MILPITAS (good riddance)

Gosh, it doesn't even smell like summer in NYC anymore. It smells like.. autumn.. And it sucks.

Here's to:
JHS friends..
George J Ryan MS 216.
Taking the train everyday into the city.
Blasting music on the train.
Free Saturdays. (I have Saturday classes for the Hayden Program..)
Wandering around Central Park early mornings.
Playing CTF, Volleyball, and Extreme Frisbee in Central Park with friends.
Ramdom trips up to Boston..
The mall every Saturday.
Rocket launches (y'know.. the small ones?) and weather experiments and The Na-Know Game Show..
Someone..
Playing tennis and baseball.
Watching every Mets/Yankees/Braves game.
Never cleaning my room.
Staying up late.
Sleeping 12 hours a day.
Going on cB to get my post count up.
Jones and Long Beach.
Fishing at Long Beach.
Camping upstate.
HaloFest with my friends.
Halo-ing for more than 8 hours a day. (Motion sicknesss.)
XBOX LIVE!!!
The MTA and their stupid detours and problems and stuff.. Which actually made the trip fun.
The B Train. I'll miss it like crazy..
4th of July Fireworks at the United Nations. (Like. Inside the building.)
Procrastination. For summer homework.
