its not the mouse hovers. its like wer u post your post for chatter box and your name it has is like shadowy in that box. and then like on the calendar. and mainly everything that are buttons wenever u hve to change or write sometin its that?

do yu mean your module titles? if so, people put backgrounds on the titles. if yu want a shadowy background, make a background or find one and upload it to a image sever then add it as a background to your module title
