I'm Running for Class President!

Isn't that awesome? I have no chance whatsoever since five other people are running, but I'm gonna try. _smile.gif I'm going to campaign with my bestest best buddy in the whole world, Sarah. biggrin.gif We can't really run on the same ticket. That's not how it works, unfortunately. sad.gif But yeah, I'm not going to ask if you've run for class president before or not because I think that was already a topic, but rather, how does your school handle class presidency and whatnot? I know just to run I had to get fifty signatures from kids from my class and three teacher recommendations. Then we get our whole class to vote after we've put up posters and stuff.

there's only 120 kids in my grade, getting 50 sigs would be insane.

last year, at the end of 8th grade, the senior class officers came and said whoever wanted to be officers had to make a speech tomorrow and then we'd vote. of course, all the popular people won. pfft.

wow, good luck! eh, i'll never be able to run for president. but, at my school, people run for president of their grade, and the students of that grade votes. at the preliminaries, we get 2 votes, but for the final, we get 1.

yeah, that's really true at my school. psh, for freshman and sophomore years, the class president/v.p did nothing.

If it's only class officers, only the class will elect. ( IE, Freshman Class, so on and so forth. )
If it's ASB, then the whole school elects.

Freshman class officers are voted in at the start of the school year.
Soph - Senior - ASB = end of the school year.

I wonder if you can put down cB as one of your accomplishments... I mean, you do help to regulate and maintain a fairly large online community.

Good luck, i'm a freshman, and today all of us had an assembly for the SGA. It's basically people who have the most popularity who'd win because he don't know anybody and the speeches aren't that serious. It's either "I'll do my best so vote for me and that's all" or braggadocio or they say things they'd do when we know they won't do it. Yeah....

Funny you should add running for class president...

The school hired a bunch of kids to help change locker combos, clean up rooms for teachers and all the other good stuff janitors get to do over summer. Anyways, in one of the lockers was a pic of a grild drinking a carona. No big deal right? Guess again, she ran for president that school year, and wouldnt you know, that picture was everywhere. That will teach you to be under the alcofluence of incohol.

Wow, that's uncalled for.

My school has that kind of stuff. The people who are running bribe us by giving us candy and stuff. LMAO, don't waste too much money though because there's always the chance that you might not win. Like the people that spent more than 100$ and they lost. biggrin.gif

Anyhoo, good luck to you. :D I'm sure you'll be a great class president.
