I am decently new to xanga and i have put a background on my site but i want to make the backgrounds to all my modules like a translucent white, and not just like my left side modules but also the text area. if someone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Are you familiar with CSS? Because if you are, where it says "background color", change it to transparent.

on your look&feel, you can change your left modules to transparent (:
