I live in Hawaii, where pretty much everyone is Asian or some mixture of cultures. It's like a big melting pot, so I've never been called that. I think I would be offended if I went to the mainland (the 48 contiguous states) and was called a FOB.

Hum.. no one has really called me a fob unless it was a joke even though I was born in HK and i speak cantonese to some friends a lot. Well, It's sort of the opposite for me, alot of people assume I'm Korean or Japanese, but that's a different story.

Anyways, it doesn't really bother me, unless someone is being racist about and and says something like "Your such a FOB, you chink/gook/ect." and if they actually MEAN that, then i'll get pissed, but most of the time everyone says it jokingly.
