When I was in elementary school, the teachers put me in ESL because they thought I couldn't speak or understand english... but in reality, I was just really super duper shy... biggrin.gif so I was only there for like a week, until my parents told my teachers what was up with me... _smile.gif

i'm still a little shy when it comes to school... but not to the point where everyone thinks I can't understand english or anything. I'll speak when I'm spoken to, but I still won't voluntarily speak in front of the class or anything like that... I hate doing presentations.... _dry.gif laugh.gif

haha i hate presentations in front of the grade but if it's just my class i guess its ok since i'm pretty familiar with the ppl anyway and it isn't rly that big a deal for me biggrin.gif

about esl, no i've never been to esL since in our school you start learning french (or esL) in grade 4 or 5 or something. wen i came to the school i didn't know a word of english but that was back in grade 1.. happy.gif

I use to be in ESL... and from there i became an honors student from the 5th grade to the present (sophomore in college). Its amazing where i use to be... So many people said that ESL is the worst and you're slower than the rest... but that's not true. Yeah... i babbled a bit... sorry. LOL

i came to america when i was in 1st grade and... they didnt have a good esl teacher who can help me with english...well there was this person but she wasnt an esl teacher cause there was not many asians in dutch harbor, alaska when i was there, so....yeah. so i lived in alaska for 5 years...but when i was in 4th and 5th grade...there was an ESL teacher she was korean and i took the test and she said my English was just fine...so she got me out of ESL class... and then when i was in 6th grade...i didnt take ESL class cause i passed that class...and also in 7th grade, i took it for 1st quarter cause since im asian...they thought i needed one.. at the 1st quarter of 7th grade, i was in ketchikan, alaska... and like in 2nd quarter of my 7th grade.. i took the test again, and i got all right..everything right that i got 100%... so i got out of that ESL class^^;;; i took like 3 esl classes when i was in 7th grade. and i passed all 3 esl class, then there was 2 esl class...and i passed them all and the last one the advanced one... i passed that too... and in 8th grade i was at seattle, washington...and they put me in esl class cause when i first registered einstein middle school. my mom cant speak english that well and i was so shy i didnt talk at all...it's like leeza...hehe and they put me in, but since there were a lot of korean ppls in that esl class, i didnt tell my mom that i wanted to get out from that class...so like in 9th grade, i stll had ESL..then i kinda got sick over it but forgot to tell my ESL counselor that i wanted to get out... so like when i was 10th grade... i didnt go school for the last 3 months that i also didnt take the passing test that i had to take it esl again...but then i got so mad cause i reallie needed to get out of that class cause since im in 11th grade. i need to take 2 years of japanese before i go to college... so yeah and i told him for finally and he got out me out of ESL class^^;; hehe so that's my story sooorry it's long rofl

btw ESL is for the ppls from out of United States who can't speak English... ESL teachers help those ppls speak, write, and understand English. esl stands for English Second Language.
