how do you save a pic as a transparent pic? |

 i`m new with adobe photoshop 7...my layout was worked on a transparent bg but it wouldn`t save as a transparent pic....i asked my friend how but she had paint shop pro...  can someone show me how? thank you.

You have to save it as a ".gif" or it won't work.
