tat doesnt look like the double eyelid tape.. it looks like the glue...
u can get the tape in asian specialty stores... like in china town or something... they have it in taiwan for sure... but u can also just use regular scotch tape.. just cut a little curve and put it on the very tip of your lash line...

erm--naw it's not such a "big deal." the whole double eyelid thing just interested me cus i have single eyelids. most people tend to want what they don't have...like--erm i'm not sure who can relate to this but a lot of people w/ curly hair want it straightened and some people w/ straw-straight hair like to curl it sometimes...just as an example...

I don't think there's anything wrong with it, i don't think it's gay...almost all girls try to make themselves look better in every way.
It really depends on where u live cause the place near where i live sells them, u can also go to Korean Town or Little Tokyo to get them.

I naturally have double eyelid. Since I live in an Asian neighbourhood, a lot of them use the tape. I don't get why people don't prefer their natural looks and will spend so much money on just to wear make-up and whatnot. i live in hk... and here "double eyelid tapes' are quite common.
the 'tapes' are shaped in a way so that it fits the shape of your lids- so assuming that you do it correctly your lashes wont rip off and it does work..... its the cheaper and less painful way of getting "double-eyelids" 'cause surgery is loads more expensive (you can get a set of 10 for 10 bucks HKD) and auno....surgery involves getting bleedy looking effects for a while plus ridiculous bandaids, etc.

Well, I'd understand why Asian chicks would feel so pressured to have "big, beautiful" eyes. It just happens to be one of media's rules for "beauty." My mom told me that she just bent her eyelids when she was younger all the time with her fingers, like teasing her eyelids, and they eventually turned into faint double eyelids.

My grandma got an operation for that...
