OMFG I accidently reformatted my computer blink.gif or soemthing like that. I dont know HOW i did it. one moment I'm in control panel, the next my computer goes WEEEE shuts down and then when i restart it asks for a product key. blink.gif
Does anyone here have a Windows 98 product Key? If you do, could you PLEASE PM me with it? beucase i cant use 98 until i get one (and i am SO not asking my dad or i swear he will ground me for life for reformatting my comp) and Im stuck using windows 2000 except i hate my windows 2000 because its just.... weerd blink.gif anyone? cry.gif

go to http://www.techguy.org/ and report your problem their; their people there that can help you or hopefully can. I don't think you reformatted your harddrive, may have been some sort of serious error. I can help you find a cd key if you really need it thought.

each CD KEY is unique and stuff and your gonna have to end up asking ur dad for it UNLESS you want to go illegal and get one off the net.... i could help on that *looks around*.... yeah.

Lol, exactly what I was thinking.

But if I were you, I'd think of upgrading, maybe to XP or something, but 2000 ain't that bad, nothing wrong with 2000. I upgraded a comp with a PII 233mhz 96mb ram to XP, works fine too with some settings turned down.

actually, i am using XP blink.gif Windows 2000 XP laugh.gif but i also have Windows 98 on it. anyways, Thanks to someone up there ^ i got a cd product key (THANKS!) but my comp is still like weerd blink.gif so i have to take it in possibly this week to this one comp place blink.gif but thanks guys! ^^

that happened to me too, grace....but u know... i didnt type in the product key, that guy said theres no way... i hate him...i lost all my important programs and important files... he reformatted my whole freaking hard drive saying theres no way to get my hard drive back cause i reformatted...and now i hear my friends that are saying that u can type in the product key... i was so mad... i wanted to freaking beat him up...-_- hammer.gif
