hey ppl. well, since i started skating not to long ago ive been kicked out of lots of places. i also notice the "no skateboarding" signs a lot more. my question is, do u think skating is bad? if so y?

haha i agree. everywhere i go theres a 'no skateboarding sign' im like stubborn.gif just let the skateboarders skate!

Naw, its not. It's because if you fall on the skateboard or get hurt, you can sue them and get a lot of money, so no skateboarding, no rollerblading, no nothing. xD

Yeah, some skaters are really hot. cool.gif

why would skateboarding be bad? I for one consider it a sport for those who like skateboarding, its something to be active in and to have fun....

skateboarding isnt a crime, i used to be one, btw what kind of board you got? if you have a birdhouse i'll trade my element for it!! anyways ya skating since eh back in october.

well, skateboarding does damage property wen u grind n stuff, the noise can get annoying, n sometimes u do trespass on private or sku property. but yea, its a sport n u should be able to do it freely

It depends on what you do. Flat land tricks don't hurt anything. Grinding rails does. By grinding down that 10 stair you're leaving paint and marks all down the rail. That's why people don't like it, damaging property. Don't get me wrong I don't thing skaters should stop skating. I'm a skater myself and I skate at schools and wherever else I can find good spots. All I'm saying is we are not totally innocent when we grind rails/ledges/curbs. But hey, that's life, just keep skating.

Most law enforcement see skating as a hazard to other people. Or as something rebellious. I used to skate, but not as much anymore. I dont think its a crime at all. Police are just jealous that their fat asses cannot pull off the tricks that we can. shifty.gif

hm...go to a designated place to skate? i dunno..i don't skate..but there are alot of place that don't let you skate there...you just gotta respect what they say, it's their property

No. I don't think it's bad. They just ban skateboarding because if they get hurt, then they might sue the place they were skating in. OR when they grind, and they have the wax and stuff.. It kinda ruins the property.

my boyfriend and his friends like to skateboard in DC, and they are really strict there giving you tickets and what not. But I understand because they are ruining marble, handrails, and other property. However, I think in order to relieve this problem more skate parks need to open up in our area.... which of course won't happen. but whatever.... FCUK THE POLICE! whistling.gif
