not asian but i suck at math
my best friend is viet and she's always under pressure to be the best of the best. i think thats so unfair of her parents. she's really smart but she hates sharing her grades and stuff because everyone goes " _dry.gif of course YOU got the best grade" ugh its so stupid. why can't people just be happy for her? =\

i HATE math!! mai parents push me to do REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY good in math...n now i hate it more den ne thing..yea..but it also happens dat dey crammed da complete 5,6,7,and 8th grades into mai head wen i waz in 4th grade...arg..but now im in 8 so i guess dis is mai last year cruisin..dayumit! wanna cruise fo a litto longer..

azn parents should really be proud of wat dere kid is good at and try to help dem improve on da weaker subjects, not juss push one subject all da time..

but now im lyke da smartest guy in mai classes...n one of da most smartest peepo in da whole skool..(not dat im braggin) n mai frienz r happi dat im so smart..

ooo..i also used to run a hw "service" i'd "tutor" u on ur hw fo $5...if u get mai drift...

i used get 90s in middle school till 10th grade....

but last year (11th grade) everyone dropped at least 10% overall....even the smartest people....

I'm soooo dreading this coming year...

i am REALLY REALLY bad at math..
my mom had to hire 2 tutors, and send me to 3 academies, and also buy all kinds of computer programs to help me with my algebra...

yet i still flunked.. ==;;

im an idiot when it comes to math..

I Love Math rolleyes.gif I'm not asian. I like my calculus class cuz it's so diverse, but there are like a lot of asians, and the teacher makes jokes about it... He says we're gonna have an ethnic group test... All the asians in one group, the hispanics, the whites, and the "others" haha

I'm Asian and I hate math, yet I still do good on it. I don't even know why I'm gonna take 2 math classes this upcoming junior year, triganometry (sp? yeah, i suck at english though) and statistics.

Calculus is actually pretty easy you just have to not be intimidated by it.

In many ways, Calc is easier than Precalc ... there is less stuff to memorize and overall I think it makes more sense.

hmm, well i'm asian, and i like math a lot- i really wanted to "double up" next year (take both pre-calc and calc.) but my schedule wouldn't allow it. I think i'm pretty good at math- it was my best subject...

I guess I like math.. and the only thing I ever hated about it was the homework and the teachers + hippie teacher assistants.
It's pretty easy.. most of the time.

Why is it when your in class...alot of people like to sit next to you just because you are asian? I be like just cus Im asian doesnt mean that I am smart...but Im not saying I am dumb believe that...

took it out from my mouth. Some Asians are VERY very good in math. I've notice in advance math, there are lik about 15 chinese people and 6 Koreans that are in that class. The total of that class was about 22. Haha. I'm really impressed. _smile.gif

I'm asian, and pretty good at math. I'm not like THE BEST at math, but eh, I think I do really well.

And yes, I see what you mean! A lot asians I see are good at everything. Math, straight A's, swimming, etc and they almost ALWAYS look skinny and pretty.
