IT IS SO CALLED FOOTBALL! American football they use their hands. In football u don't (unless u are goalie or taking a throw in!)

I am Irish so of course I'll say football even tho my hertiage calls it soccer because we have a sport called "Gaelic football". I hate gaelic football

Obviously you have NO idea of the concepts or rules of the sport. I've played both of the sports competitevly (sp), and I can vouch that football is a much more challenging sport and (to me, this is opinion right here) much more exciting.

Football is like a 7th subject in high school. The amount of information/plays/codes you have to memorize and perfect is astounding. pinch.gif If you want to argue, feel free. I'm waiting.

alright n00b. don't get so involved. its just a question. don't have to insult.

Anyway, i like soccer and football. but, football does provide more of a challenge and takes more endurance because even though you're running, you have to avoid getting the shit knocked outta your from an opposing player.

I love soccer, sure, football is really big in U.S...But, when do I care what my country likes?

Soccer is hardcore, football...that's just really stupid. It's a brutal sport, I play it and everything, but...Honestly, what kinda brute thought of that up? Soccer's World Cup is watched by over 1 billion people worldwide. It's the most popular sport in the world, except in America. I like Football more, maybe because I play it. But I just think it takes considerably more skill.

And for the record, females do play football.

soccer is the only school sport i go to regularly. it is waaaay (and yes, i do know how "way" is usually spelled) more exciting to watch or play than football. plus if you don't know the numbers of the players that you're friends with, they don't have helmets to obstruct your view of their faces.

Does the Superbowl get half on the world's population watching it? I know very few people in Europe watch it, few people Africa watch it, and few people in Asia watch it, as virtually EVERY continent has huge soccer fans.

I also never understood Americans calling it "football." You use your hands 80% of the time.

I like football since I finally learned how it works, but then again my whole family has been into soccer for the past 10 years so I'm stuck in the middle.

I liked soccer since I was a young'n. I had ALWAYS loved the game. I grew up playing it. And football, I used to hate 'cuz I never understood it. Until like 8 years ago, I got the hang of it and now I LOVE IT! But if it came down to one sport..

Soccer/Futbol...it's been my sport of life.
