I've never even seen a CHinese Soap Opera. Well, BACK WHEN MY MOM used to watch International Channel, BEFORE they took it off our cable (those *bleeps* I want my International CHANNEL!
 ), My mom watched some. And she watched this one chinese show, it had all that kung fu and action in it, but it was a show, idk what sort though.. MAYBE it was a soap opera i think because they were talking about fighting and love and some stuff.. bleh but idk cantonese >_<"Anyway, I'd rather go and watch Chinese Movies. but I haven't watched any in quite a while  I MISS THEM

TVB? =P i use to watch it..and stopped for a few years..and picked it back up again this summer :P im watching the one where the guy can talk to his dad from the past..and i just finished the psychology one..it's good!!

OMGGG i love korean soaps
im korean and i watch korean soaps... ut i watched meteor rain  with f4 in it...  didnt understand at all but okay keke ANYWAYS~but dont they have chinese soaps that are actually korean soaps just dubbed with weerd voices? OMg they have these weerd like chinese soaps with weerd costumes but i dont get any of what they're saying so im just lik  when i watch it.

Meteor Garden, yeah, big freakin popular series in Taiwan and everywhere around it. I really really really hate old soaps like Hwan zhu Ge Ge where they're in the old emperor times.............. they kill me.  I like the newer ones with the newer generation in them.

I'm not Chinese but I watch them, lol. They've got captions and I like them. I also watch Korean, Brasilian, and "Latino" ones. They're cool. The latino ones are easier for me to understand 'cause I'm fluent, lol.

I don't speak Chinese but there are translated Chinese and Korean soaps for rental at some stores... I used to be addicted to them but they get old real fast. The story lines are ever the same or at least so similar that it isn't a big deal someone dies of cancer in the movies anymore; it's expected.
Now they make movies about swimmers, fire fighters, pilots... I mean, there's no good plot to most of them... |

Wow, I just realized we don't have a Chinese channel here. None that I know about, anyway. Here in Hawaii, we get Korean and Japanese channels and the soaps are soooo addicting. I know there's a Filipino channel that you have to pay for, maybe there's a Chinese channel, too, but you have to pay for it.
No Chinese soaps for me, then. There's no channel to watch them on! |

i used to always watch TVB series because they would be dubbed and translated into Vietnamese and so I would always go rent it at the Vietnamese video stores. lately, i have been so into Korean dramas that I haven't been watching TVB dramas at all :( The last one I saw was probably "Triumph in the Skies"!

Sometimes. I watched "Meteor Garden" but cantonese translated so I would understand. Also, there's this investigator series that my parents watch. Sometimes I would just peek in and watch parts of it.

Yay for Meteor Garden! Meteor Garden 2 is bad though =[ I like the show Lavender. Oohh and Dolphin Bay
. I can only watch a couple now, though....the chinese satillite we have doesn't show that many soap operas that I watch anymore.
