lulz, I didn't know what "blazing" means until last summer, if that tells you anything. ;x I had to ask my boyfriend at the time what his friends were going to do in the garage when they said they were going to blaze up.

All it ever did was make me f*cking sleepy and made me want to take a nap. and if I was really high I would get incredibly picky on where I would take said nap. I don't even f*cking know. So I don't smoke anymore.

I'm not "straightedge," but I've seen what heavy drinking and smoking can do to people and I figure it's best not to start. Being addicted to Asian music reading, doing well in class, and becoming less of a noob photographer are better "vices." :P

Thank God. tongue.gif

Anyhow, I used to be a really abusive user of marijuana (I know, bad to start young, I started around 10 years old) and then moved on to pills and shit around when I was 12. I lost my mind one time, ended up in the hospital, and decided not to do any of those drugs again. Hey, at least I didn't do crack or heroine or something.

Of course, I regret doing it and everything and hated having to tell my family and disappointing them, but it's all good now. I'm 16 and have been drug-free for 4 years (basically). Kind of pathetic but awesome, amirite?

But, when it comes to economical views on marijuana, then yeah, I love it (or, err, support it). _smile.gif

Not pathetic. Children are so impressionable and vulnerable at that age, so it wasn't all your fault. I can definitely admire and respect that you were able to quit and learned the hard way not to get tangled up in drugs. I know secondhand (haha, literally) how difficult it is to quit an addiction, because I witnessed my grandfather quit smoking cold turkey after about 60 years of cigarette use. He started when he was just 15 and quit 100% in his 70s.

I know some people who can quit smoking cigarettes cold turkey without a problem, and then there are those who have been trying for years and always end up going back. I stay away from drugs, mainly because I like to feel like I'm in control of myself... which is why when I drink I don't get shitfaced. My family is full of alcoholics, and drinking in social situations helps me anxiety, so I have to be careful. I'm not going to start telling people how they shouldn't be doing drugs, though, unless if they are getting out of control.

it's quite obvious you have can't get a sex life by your looks so you gotta turn it on me. the only n*gga interested in you is james who loves to feed you false compliments in hopes that one day you will send him nudes. you post like 10x a week in member's photo. we don't f*cking care, you look the same all the time - sloppy and careless. the only people that compliment you are also ugly and have poor taste. you try to be a bad bitch just because you been getting more false compliments than usual. i don't even want to go any further on your looks because it would just be unfair, i'm sure the pictures tell all.

take my name out of your mouth and put on james' dick cause that's what he's looking for when he's feeding you those compliments.

i can see why she gets so many compliments now. any little change on her makes her look 10 times better than on the average person since she's so bad to begin with. it makes sense now :). i don't need to make fun of her appearence to make her feel like shit although i often do because it ain't hard at all. i mean look at her !!! she also has a shit personality that lives of off false compliments meaning i probably could f*cking destroy her self-esteem.

You're right, but it doesn't mean I've been oblivious to all the "DOES LIZ LIKE ANAL" jokes that are on CB; the poll about that got bumped just a few days ago. Take my post at face value: I would appreciate it if the members here didn't joke about something that they know nothing about, other than the fact that I've chosen to remain a virgin.

Ten times a week to respond to the people who post their photos there; but I doubt that I even post 10 photos in an entire MP thread. Please don't exaggerate if you're going to attack me for something that you blew out of proportion. I don't know nearly enough about you to flame you, nor do I make judgments about others' sex lives. It's your opinion if you think that my photos shout, "CRISTY IS UGLY" a thousand times each.

Been there, done the whole "You're ugly, lose weight, etc." thing with Steven for the past two weeks. I don't remember seeing posts where you made fun of me on CB, unless you do it in CBC, in which case I wouldn't know because I rarely go there.

Precisely. I choose not to binge drink, smoke, or sleep around because I don't want to put myself at risk of getting accelerated liver damage, lung disease, or an STI. Aside from the negative physiological aspects caused by doing those things, there's so much stigma that comes with having any of those conditions that it'd make life that much harder to endure. I don't ever want to wake up one day and be like, "If only I hadn't [insert action here]," because there's nothing worse than knowing you're at total fault for the situation you're in. But that's just my personal belief, and I don't judge others for their lifestyle choices as long as they don't try to pressure me into doing what would make me uncomfortable.

You best not get tangled up in heavy drinking or hard drugs when you get to college. sad.gif I know weed's one of the less-addictive drugs out there, but it's better not to start on heroin/cocaine/etc.

Meh after seeing how large some of my friends became from smoking too much weed... no thank you. I'm shallow. I take care of my body (brain included).

Between abstaining from an illegal drug and exercising, I fancy the former. Yeah, I'm an inert prude.

Don't mean to get into this arugment here but you should know Marijuana isn't bad for you. Abuse of anything can be bad, but smoking Marijuana has proven to hav emany many medicinal properties and effects. People have had studies done upon them showing that it's neither addictive nor does it affect your brain or your body for that matter. The dude who dud "Superhigh Me" showed minimal side effects from smoking for a month straight every day all day. It's most likely due ot the fact that he was too lazy to do anything but he was high for an entir emonth. The large majority of pot smokers don't do it every day all day. The intervals in time between episodes of inhalation give the body proper time to recover from the damage that the smoke particles do to the lungs.

basically weed isn't bad and it's silly to insult it :(

Actually the dude in super high me scored better in a few of his test high then he did sober if I recall. I think math is where he suffered the most. and got fatter

Doug Benson throb.gif so funny

I would always rather be around a weed smoker then a cig smoker. I would also choose weed over cigarettes myself.

Did you mean that it doesn't negatively affect the body? And, does it damage just certain organs, or what? I should probably know this from PSYC-103, but I took that too long ago and forgot a lot of stuff after the final.

Ohh I did a decent job of typing last night.

Basically a cig smoker chain smokes, putting lots of smoke particulates into his/her lungs. When you smoke marijuana, you also inhale smoke particulates, but due to the fact that you just smoke a few times, get high, stop smoking, the time in between times when you smoke is plenty time for your body to recover from the smoke you inhaled. The only people who really have adversely effected lungs from smoking marijuana are the people who smoke it on a considerably larger scale than the most.

lol omg, did you type that after you blazed? I've been around people who were stoned and they were pretty much fine, just cracking up at things that weren't all that funny. It's entertaining, I guess. Thanks for clarifying.

QUOTE(tokyo-rose @ Jun 11 2010, 01:38 AM) *

No one but yourself can make you drink/smoke/do drugs... so if you have a shred of self control you won't have to wake up the next morning and regret it. No one says you have to get completely smashed any time you drink, you can enjoy a drink or two or whatever you're comfortable with and not have to worry about being an ***hole or making stupid decisions.

When I drink I don't usually get as drunk as everyone else. I'll have a few drinks and call it a night because I also don't enjoy being so drunk you can't even function by yourself.

When I drink I don't usually get as drunk as everyone else. I'll have a few drinks and call it a night because I also don't enjoy being so drunk you can't even function by yourself.

I've had a little to drink when I went to my friends' house parties, but that was because I was with people I actually knew and could have fun there. I would never want to be so drunk that I'd have to stumble into the bathroom and throw up there, or pass out in some stranger's house where anything could happen.

In terms of college life, I can't imagine many things that are worse than waking up one morning and not remembering what the fuck happened last night, especially if your clothes are on the floor and there's a sketchy-looking guy passed out next to you, or he's gone entirely. Shit like that happens all too often, and then the girl gets branded a slut, whore, "easy," etc., and has to get checked out for potential STI's or pregnancy, while the guy generally gets off scot-free (no pun intended). I learned about that type of phenomenon in my social science classes and renewed my promise to myself never to do anything like that. I don't force my views onto anyone else, but if other people understand where I'm coming from and choose to exercise more self-control because they feel it would be better in the long run, it's their choice, not mine.

You're telling me I shouldn't judge people for doing what they want, but it seems as though you're judging me for doing what I want, which is to abstain from the activities I listed, and also for giving reasons why. Other people can smoke, drink, and hook up all they want if they're willing to deal with the consequences, however far down the road that may be, but I don't have to participate or keep silent about my opinion if I don't want to.

You act as if smoking and drinking were some super taboo thing that is horrible for your body. Maybe in high amounts frequently, but I guarantee that I'm not going to have to "deal with the consequences" later down the road. Do it responsibly and you'll be completely fine.

Juna's saying that the top 3% is pretty baked as in smokes a lot. You cited not smoking / drinking then said what your GPA was. He responded saying they do smoke and have a higher GPA. Do you think marijuana makes people try harder at school? I think not.

I don't. A lot of my peers drink every weekend and get back to their dorms more or less fine, but a few of my good friends have gotten alcohol poisoning or been lost on the way back, so I was kinda like, blink.gif mellow.gif D: It's just that drinking when I'm comfortable/in moderation helps to prevent that kind of stuff from happening to me.

If Cristy doesn't want to drink or smoke then that's fine. Now we all know she doesn't want to, so she probably won't be jumping into discussions about drinking or smoking. She has reasons why she doesn't. Everyone else has reasons why they do. See how easy that is?

When I graduated high school pretty much all the kids who were at the top of the class smoked and drank. I was kind of surprised when I was about a Junior in high school I became friends with a quieter group of girls who got good grades and who seemed pretty reserved (and one of them was really religious), but they'd get drunk on the weekends and cuss like sailors and occasionally smoke pot. You can't stereotype when it comes to who drinks and who smokes pot, and you can't stereotype what happens when they do.

I've had alcohol poisoning once. It was not a pretty site.

Did you need to have your stomach pumped? My friend did, and several of our mutual friends accompanied her to the hospital. I think one of them even stayed overnight because he was so concerned.

you can do whatever you want, just give your honest reason and not something you read on a powerpoint slide

It's nice that you still think I'm making assumptions and giving BS reasons when I've been honest about my opinion from the start. Have it your way, then, since you won't believe anything I say.

Yeah, a lot of students at my high school and college were/are the same way. I think part of it is that the high achievers, no pun intended, need a way to relieve the stress they accumulate from having to make sure they do well, so they resort to drug use. They should stick with whatever works for them, but I'd imagine that it can get expensive to keep buying drugs from a dealer on campus/in town.
